How does the PS3 online service "not get maintained"? I've never had any problems with it.

Im not saying it doesnt get maintained at all, but again as i said "the way I look at it" being my opinion is that a service that is being paid for is actually having money put to it for upkeep. I wouldnt doubt that somewhere down the road PSN start charging as well.

Again just my opinion dont everyone start getting in an uproar. The game is awesome, the perks that you get online are just mindblowing. I have to say my favorite is the AC-130 easily.

Well, that's quite a substantial way to back up your claims. I've never played Live, but I'm guessing most people who say Live is better are just saying so because they're paying for it.

Yeah, the game is awesome. The first Modern Warfare I didn't get what all the fuss was about, but this one's clearly better.

Skip a couple starbucks a month and its paid for. Maybe i am still jaded from the BS POS that PS3 first releases and tried to pawn off as a working feature but I will gladly pay a few bucks a month for everything you get.


Ohh and didnt the party system not even work for this game on PS3 when it came out? No problems on Live, what a shock.

Agreed, but I don't think Infinity Ward is releasing MW2 for the Wii.

Oh come on. I bet Live messes up all the time on stuff but you just don't talk about it much, because then people just say, "See? And you're paying for that!"

I'll admit that LIVE is better than PSN, for a few reasons... easier navigation, the fact that the console comes with the headset, and the ease of finding friends, etc.

But the problem for me is the console. Microsoft ????ed up big time, they caused the Red Rings situation.... and yet after the warranty expires they want you to PAY to get it fixed.

I didn't drop it, I didn't not allow for it to have good ventilation or anything crazy like that. I just played the freaking thing. For it to crap out on me AGAIN.... well, that's just bull???? and Microsoft is to blame.

It's the primary reason that I have so many games on PS3, it's the reason that I am online with my PS3 and not my Xbox. And if I do get it fixed down the road and it screws up again??? I am done with Xbox. If I buy something, I expect it to work. I don't want to keep throwing money at Microsoft, for something that they did wrong. That's freaking bull????.

I mean, that's like if I painted heads with paint that melts in temps above 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Of course they would eventually melt... And then I would agree to fix it once, but once a year was up... I would want you to pay again... What a scam...

I've had LIVE since day one in 2002 and have always loved it. PSN accomplishes everything needed for online play just as well as LIVE does. I haven't been kicked from a game while on the PS3 and my connection issues are due to my ISP. I will NOT be renewing my LIVE subscription come next month.

I've never had the red rings of death and have owned a 360 since launch day. I did buy an elite though after 2 years and now use that.
I always seemed to play the original xbox over the ps2 when I could and from there have always played the 360 , going live was just the next step. I own a ps3 for blu ray but only have metal gear solid 4 and will be getting god of war 3 and probably the god of war collection.

I've played online on the ps3 a few times but I just can't get used to the whole layout thing. The fact that microsoft apparently rushed out the 360 may have been a bad idea with all the problems some people get but for me personally after having no problems ( touch wood ) and after having an xbox so much longer than a ps3 I simply can't get used to gaming on another console so in that aspect they won me over.

The playstation is a great console though. I still find it awesome to read when everybody on youtube argues over the consoles as if they made them.

I've been playing MW2 since yesterday on the 360 , not finished it yet but its been awesome.

I just favour the PS3 over the Xbox, always have done. It's just what ever you favour, isn't it. Some prefer Xbox, some PS3. Gotta say though it's hilarious watching people argue which is better, when they're both pretty great. One of the main things that swings it for me is the controller, and I love Sony products I think the sony controller is much more comfy. Plus it doesn;t need batteries.

ha ha ha, while I like playing gears that game is a piece of trash. Thats all connection speed and EPIC with cliffy B allowing people to cheat and use glitches. Has nothing to do with the service of LIVE.

Ive been on LIVE since day one as well and I also bought a 3rd party warranty at Best buy...I get redring, i walk in and walk out with another one simple as that. I wont deny as far as hardware goes the xbox is pretty much crap, but I will say I play my 360 way more than my PS3. The PS3 is primarily my blu ray/dvd player. If I can help it, most of my games are 360.

Either way no reason to argue, play Modern Warfare and enjoy the carnage.

That used to really annoy me. I bought a quick charge kit though.

Keep one in whilst I use the other and I've not needed batteries for the past year now. It was only a tenner too.

I like the 360 controller the most. The DS3 might not need batteries, but if you have your system in the living room like me you need a 10ft + USB cable to charge it while playing.

That had nothing to do with live and EVERYTHING to do with the developers decisions on how to make things work.

Just finished the single player game !

the best ????ING FPS story I have ever played.
I was on the edge of my seat the thole time I was playing this game.
The soudtrack by HANS ZIMMER is Breath taking.
