I wasnt going to pay $6K for a solid one, so yes I am ok with a hollowed one.

I have no doubt I got a good copy. I have moved it many times up and down my house. I am going to treat it like the many other statues in my collection. Some of the guys want everything solid, but not me.
I am not saying I am an expert here but I do have some knowledge of statues, so i think my word carries added weight to them and are not just being said to get a rise out of anyone.

With the cast so thin, if during the casting process there is even a single weak area, a stress fracture can occur while moving it or durring shipping. If the casting was just slightly thicker around the joint area's, perhaps we all would not be having this discussion and all would be well. I've lost count as to how many of these have arrived broken and not just in this forum, but others. At the very least, there is piece of mind when ordering thru sideshow you will be able to keep getting them until a good one arrives. However I am still afraid to pull the trigger on something this fragile when a number of things can cause it to get damaged later on. I can get over the paint job and grease marks but worrying about it breaking or having a stress fracture already that is unknown to me yet would make for a very bad day a year later when it breaks. As for the re-sale value of this, who would want to risk buying this off of e-bay if they do a little research about the piece? I just don't see this going up in value in the future like some of Sideshow's other pieces. It doesn't help it isn't numbered either.

I am not sure what you mean by new packaging masterside, the statue comes in styro inside a plain brown box with a simple print of Iron Man on it inside a standard Sideshow shipper. Personally I could care less what the packaging looks like, I'd rather it simple if it means cheaper statues. It is a big box but not as big as I expected thankfully my garage and spare bedroom are full of damn shippers!
