And because people get angry over someone they don't know's opinions over a film they haven't seen.

I don't see how. Everyone is going nuts over a few critics reviews. Not my fault if they affect how you see the movie.

If the movie was being rated 10/10's from everyone, it would be a different story. Don't matter if I care about the property or not. The fact that it's happing is a tad silly, and should be commented on.

I just think it's silly to call the critics *******s when they're just doing their job.

The movie could be great, but that doesn't mean would have a right to disagree.

I don't think the rating means anything to be honest.
It is what they say about the movie that makes me have an idea. I have never cared about a rating but I do read what they say about the plot, visuals etc.

That's not how Rotten Tomatoes works.

They take all the reviews and score them up, and then average the total.

That's it. Now, they do have an audience meter, but that **** is worthless because most people are dumb, and rate with their heart, not with anything thing else.

The Tomato-ometer isn't an average of the review scores, it's simply a percentage of the reviewers who gave it a positive review. A reviewer could give a movie a 10/10 or a 7/10, both count the same.

The only thing that worries me is how dependant on cgi and bull**** gimmicks ol PJ has become. He's heading down the path of da Lucas, in part 2 gandalf's staff and beard will be cg no doubt

That's why I think metacritic has a better method, they actually take the average of all the scores
