Just got back from seeing it. I am a MASSIVE LOTR fan but the film is really quite disappointing. There is so much CGI it's like George Lucas directed it. It is so slow at the start to get going; the Dwarves are annoying and there really dosen't seem to be any sense of danger. The best scene is Riddles in the Dark; Gollum is superb but the film as a whole is a let down. Some people even walked out the cinema.

people walked out on this one...that I find hard to believe..If they did screw em...insanity

The only movie I've ever been to where half the theater got up and walked out was Sweeny Todd. I would imagine people didnt realize it was a musical. But this movie? Nah that's bs.
