Agreed, the TE's are a better watch as far as movies go. EE's are strictly for fans, I tend to watch them more though.

Sometimes you just don't have 4 hours and 10 minutes to spend watching ROTK.

I want both... I'm thinking about gettign the theatrical LOTR stuff too. Sometimes the EE are just too much.

I don't know about that. I admit its hard for me to judge that in someways because I'm farily hardcore about Middle-earth. I think the greatness in the TE is just turned into more with the EE.

I agree. I just think the EE is every bit as good. Opinions vary of course. I can just speak for myself as someone who is fully invested into the world.

If you're shorter on time they are easier to fit in. I'm not sure when the last time I saw the TE were though.

I just want the lego figure. Need to search ebay for it. They also had a Lego Bilbo at comic-con last year that I still need to pick up.

I want that too, but I won't pay what they're asking for it on eBay.

The EE's explain little things that if you haven't read the books, makes more sense. Right off the top of my head, when Brego finds Aragorn in TT.

The price on eBay right after SDCC wasn't too awful bad, but it went up pretty quickly.

I think it's because there are so many people who collect just the minifigures. Doesn't matter what they're are.

Yeah, I think the prices might have been lower then. Usually you can wait out the comic-con ex. There does seem to be a lot of people who collect just those. That whole plan just backfired.

cant wait for the EE.

Me either (and glad I found out about it before buying the regular edition). Kicking myself for letting this movie pass me by while it was in theatres. Hoping it gets a limited re-release once the second movie's out.

I have a feeling some places will run this one right before the next one on Thursday. I'll be there if they do!
