was your sim flawed or not?

I have returned a few items for replacements from them. To be honest, it does not bother me- i know they will replace flawed pieces at their expense, I have never had a problem with that.
 
The length of time I've had to bloody wait, if it had just been SIM, then fine, I'd half geared myself up for a scratched one....but both items in one day!?! It's just bad QC....very bad. Had a sucky enough day as it is without this happening, now god knows how long I'll have to wait, and with all the dicking around with taking photos, yadda, yadda etc....

So far Sideshow have not impressed me at all....I still have 2 outstanding orders with them for upcoming products...It's only because they're Exclusives I haven't cancelled them in a fit of rage. :emperor
 
Make that another Steath Iron Man scratched :monkey2 I am so pissed right now, my Black Cat arrived today as well, and it has a paint chip on her chest...so that's 3 items I've bought directly from Sideshow, and each one has been damaged in some way or another :emperor

Very sorry to hear that. I received the 1:1 Bio Mask today, and it rocks. Only flaw is the sucky edition number; we Europeans always get the high numbers... .
So if you got your IM today, then perhaps I'll get mine tomorrow or friday. The replacement for my White Queen should be here on monday. I hope I get a good SIM. Although I know SSC will replace it if it's flawed, it's always better for both parties to get it right from the beginning. So far, they have always helped me outstandingly when I had a damaged item.

just got my RMA # and printed the return label but i'm afraid to send it back right now unless we're guaranteed to get a replacement. any updates on that from SS? we all definitely getting a replacement?

Well, according to SSC, the items for the European Warehouse ship direct from China to Europe. I remember that the Europeans got their 20 days notice for the SIM (and the 1:1 pred Bio Mask) well ahead of the US collectors (which happens very rarely). Perhaps the SIMs where already in traffic before SSC got confronted with the problem? I don't know. But it's clear that the Europeans are served after the US again. I'll be getting mine in the next couple of days, and I'll let you know if it's a pristine one! If not, I let SSC know that I'd like a replacement! :D
 
They are doing another production run guys. I wouldn't be worried about getting a replacement if I were you.

got my SIM yesterday to with a few paint rubs..do i risk sending back and not getting a replacement?..hmmmm chioces choices:google
 
I received my SIM today , and one more vote for : my sim was received flawed.
Maybe it's a punition for posting too much in the "Sideshow it's a fiasco" thread!:rotfl
I asked for a replacement because the scuffs are too large and visible.

I looked for a thread about the catalog #10, couldn't find one. But I got the regular version, and it is absolutely beautiful. If you have catalog 10, no need to get back issues, it includes everything.
 
they could even put the catalog on dvd...
I don't think the production price should be higher than a paper catalog and they could put a lot of cool bonuses like the visit of Sideshow Collectibles office,see how sculptors work...
 
Well, mine arrived today also, and it's damaged too. Same area's most Sims are "bruised": the left arm, and the back. Then there are a few scuffs on the chest, the left foot and leg. I'm going to ask for a replacement.

My bro got his SIM today...and as per the norm its damaged. Not too bad but its damaged :monkey2.....if only SS didnt go cheap on protecting the statue...I mean the over protected the base IMO.....but the statue...:monkey2

There is an element that was left out of the packaging. That's why so many are arriving damaged.

The few that have arrived in great shape have been properly packed with ALL the material that should be there.

Yea you know your doomed when you hear it rattle around inside the box. If only SS would have done it right the first time around. I doubt he'll retuen it out of fear of not getting a replacement for it ,but just getting a refund.
 
Don't know if we can return them in the UK or whether we have to destroy them like I was told with my White Queen part of the Dio. Sent a message to one of the EU Customer Service people, so maybe I'll be fortunate to get a swift response.....2 damaged statues in one day.

I still can't believe it :confused::monkey2

what was left out?? i thought the only culprit was the strangely included clear plastic holder at the waist. was there supposed to be more to that?:confused:

Theres supposed to be foam that goes between the SIM and the plastic.
