was your sim flawed or not?

With the EU warehouse closed last week It'll be Monday at the earliest before I get a response.
You are probably right, but the people that answer your mails do reside in the USA. Thousand Oaks, CA. As far as I know, an independent firm is running the EU warehouse for Sideshow, and the people that work there mostly do the logistics.
If it makes you feel better, I haven't heard back from them either, and I wrote last thursday I belive. But that's no reason to panic. They'll get back to you. They must have a lot of work at the moment, answering all those mails...
 
I just got this:

We wanted to take this time to follow up with you regarding the return and replacement of your Stealth Iron Man Comiquette.

In our last correspondence you were notified that we had opened a Return Merchandise Authorization (xxxxx) as well as booked a replacement for you. At that time, we thought that it would be possible for you to retain your statue until your replacement piece became available. However, we have just learned that we will in fact need to recall your item as soon as possible in order to continue our replacement process.

Please expect a second email with a link to a printable FedEx shipping label. This link will expire within the 3 days of that e-mail date, as such we request that you print this label out as soon as possible. Once this link is expired, you will be responsible for any shipping cost to return the statue to our warehouse.

We ask that you carefully repack the statue in the manner it was received, making sure to include any outer packaging, color packaging and base. Upon receipt of your piece, we will provide you with a replacement order number. Please note that this number will not be visible within your online account.

Although Sideshow Collectibles cannot guarantee that we will be able to replace your edition number as originally issued to you, we will make every effort to do so. Our current batch of replacement Stealth Iron Man statues has been reserved and we are awaiting receipt of another shipment of replacements due within the next 60 – 90 days.

We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to replace your item as well as your exact edition number!


I'm a little concerned about the part I bolded above. I guess it just means I won't get the same edition number, which is fine with me. As long as I get one back in return, everything will be cool. :cool:

I guess I return it in the same defective packaging it was received in. :huh

I wouldn't mind if my number was changed to a AP :D ;)

All they're doing is replacing the statue not the base?

So I finally got my Fed Ex return label. I sholdn't be worried about not getting a replacement, should I?

I just got my fed ex return label also. I am slightly worried over this one. There e-mails have been confusing to me. Is it clear to you whether or not by sending it back now you will receive another one soon or do we still have to wait 60-90 days? One of the e-mails that I got seemed like they were saying they got some replacements but were waiting on more and it would be another 60-90 days for those ones. My email also had the note about the edition number but I don't care about what number I have I just want a mint or close to mint statue.
Anyways I am sending mine back and plan on taking it to fed ex tomorrow.

Received mine today...........scratched!! :monkey2

i find it very perplexing that after all the problems with sim, that they allowed any to leave their warehouse scratched. scratching my head over this. :confused: :confused: :confused:

No. They are doing another run of these. That's why it's going to take 2-3 months for us to get replacements. I doubt they'll be keeping track of everyone's SN#'s and that's why they have that part in the disclaimer.

Chillax, SS will take care of us all.
 
I returned it yesterday, hope I end up with something in return. I'd still prefer a scratched one over a non-existant one, but I went ahead and gambled and returned it and hoping for an unscratched one.

Edit: every bump in the road I hit on the way to the fed ex office I could here poor SIM rattling around in his box.

I'm not I just want it they it should be. Don't get me wrong this is a great sculpt and I am very impressed but I love the red & gold better. Too bad Sideshow didn't do this on first Iron Man comiquette.

How is he an "A" hole for suggesting he likes one colour scheme more than the other? He purchased the thing did he not? He paid good money for HIS piece, and because of that he has the right to do whatever he chooses to. Whether you agree with it or not. To put someone down for having an opinion or wanting to change it is pointless and makes you look like "the bad guy."

Really, grow up and show some respect. Just because he may not see things your way doesn't make him an "A" hole.

That's my 2 cents.
 
I don't think I'm a "A-hole" for wanting mine repainted to the color I want. If I had gotten a bad one I still would not send it back but rather have it repainted.

You don't have to defend yourself to anyone. Especially to that individual.

What that person said was rude, juvenile, foolish, and inconsiderate.

Jealousy makes people say some awfully ridiculous things.

No problem. You didn't deserve that. Besides, you need to see that there are some good Freaks here that won't judge or put you down.

After all, we all have something similar in common. That's why we're here. :)
