You took my one line of comment and you ran with it with a "screw you" somewhere in there in case I replied harshly. You got off easy by me calling it a pointless rant.

Man, it's so tragic that this item is tearing apart the collecting community, Jabba had so many of us lit up with joy and getting along and now it's like verbal war has broken out. Maybe PF Fett has taken a turn for the worst, but Star Wars collecting as a whole is still fun and positive with other good things coming to us, and let's not forget the specialness of this year, if it weren't for a bold filmmaker 30 years ago, we wouldn't even be talking in these forums...

I absolutely agree with you, MaulFan. It's a shame to see collectors digitally pummeling each other to bloody pulps over a collectible, but collecting is a passionate hobby by its very nature. I'll be the first to admit that I've let emotion rule me at times in this hobby, and I've shot my mouth off only to regret it later.

That's why we should end this debate already. It's not going anywhere. Like I said in my earlier post, keep it if you're cool with it. If you're mad at the situation, cancel and forward your now-cancelled order number along with your protest of their decision straight to Sideshow. Speak with words AND your wallet.

Personally, I don't know what the fetish is over polystone. It's not durable, can't really handle water, and weighs down shelves to buckling.

Looking at the pics, it appears to be the exact same figure that was put up for pre-order. Looks exactly the same. The quality is there. It's well-designed and finely executed.

Jabba's made out of the same material you make rubber duckies from. It was still worth the $120.

But, that's just my opinion. This thread is far too steamed up.

I don't want to have a football, bring out the chains measure for the first down, moment over whether it's Jabba's tail or a dude's appendage floating around, water ripples aren't a good enough cover, and I'm not buying any tales of the Dagobah swamp monster showing up or anything like that, nooooo thank you...
