Nah he starts serious and then switches to "baiting" :lol

That last post gave it away :lol

Plus I wasn't mad, I was quite enjoying talking about Predator :monkey2:

I was half serious. I never thought about the glowing eyes or the damn thing having a personality. :lol
See? I know you too well :lol :1-1:

When I start thinking about how everything works in P1 and P2, the more I realize how much they got wrong in later movies.

For instance, in AVPR, the Yautja killing all the Aliens as a cover up.

That seems awfully responsible to me, doesn't strike me as a race that would clean up messes, even if they themselves caused them, even the nuke in P1, "Ah I'll have to clean up, better nuke the whole damn place" :lol even in P2 when he couldn't nuke it, he just went to the ship and was ready to escape if Harrigan didn't catch up to him :lol It doesn't seem like they care about anything other than hunting, not even cleaning up.

And after P2's ending, the nuke at the end of P1 feels like more the Predator just wanted to get the last laugh rather than cleaning so humans wouldn't get their tech.

The Predator cop concept also seems way off to me, how could a Predator become a criminal to its own kind? And then have another Predator chase him? What could he possibly do? Kill another Predator? Even murdering him? Seems like he'd only get respect from other Predators.

Predators to me are really simple as shown in P1 and P2, very intelligent, very savage creatures that only care about violence, cruelty and excitement, not much else.

They completely perverted the lore with all that honor garbage. They really come off as discount Men in Black.

Well, I didn't really disagree with any of your posts...but I like to keep it going by asking questions about things I never gave any thought to begin with, since you clearly have given this movie a lot of time and thought.

Maybe they're simple from our perspective because that's all they are willing to show us, since we are nothing more than trophies. Given their advanced technology, they have to be smart, and if they're smart, then thy must be more complex beyond simple violence and sport.

Could be, but I think that what they've showed us in P1 and P2 is very telling, so much that it creates inconsistencies with the Yautja crap someone came up with later on.

Now this is something I've talked about before in this thread, savagery and cruelty are not exclusive against intelligence, in fact, intelligence allows for more savagery and cruelty.

Could the Predators be more complex than just hunt? Absolutely? But should that be in the same way we humans shape our character and societies? I think absolutely not.

We humans run away from perceived chaos into structure, I think it'd be more fitting if the Predator embraced chaos.

At the end I think it's a moot point, I think the Predator should not be explored that much because it's muuuuuch less interesting when the Predator is removed from the human point of view, which is why AvP and Predators, and pretty much 90% of its comics are so dull, generic and boring, turning the Predator into any other template for an Alien Superhero.

Predators are basically like the Saiyan race, but uglier.

That's a nice comparison.

What if they only stole the technology too? That'd be much more interesting than eeeeeverything that came up after P2.

Predators teaching civilization... :rotfl

Its this simple....

Maybe they got a new king or a new ruler that changed things.

Maybe their dna enhancements are a result of a change in hierarchy....

Maybe they had a civil war and the dna changes were created to win against the other preds

There are SO MANY easy simple ways to explain their changes...

Jesus u guys are silly

No, stealing the technology would take away from their intelligence and medical knowledge. They're smart. However, what if a Predator were to be born and raised in a different planet (like Sups and Goku), a peaceful alien planet with no humans. He would still have certain traits and maybe even violent tendencies along with his competitive nature like Goku, but maybe he could grow up to be good, until he encounters a high ranking Predator warrior (vegeta) along with a large savage second in command Predator (Napa), and the good natured Predator must fight against them along with his English speaking alien friends in a jungle like peaceful planet. Do you like that idea?

This is all horrible.
