With the bastardization all the sequels were, I'm in the same boat. Although as much as I hate reboots, it's the only place to really take the brand at this point.

Yeah, none of these remakes, reboots or what have you never do any harm to the originals.
I hope the EFNY remake turns out well, and maybe get a series of sequels going that are worth a damn and not another EFLA. But, that's been in development hell for about a decade.

Rambo, Dredd, you could easily drop a Predator into any of those movies and still have a great action movie first and a great Predator movie as a bonus.

Strange choice of image given that is simply the P1 copy from Predators. I suspect (hope) the teaser was made by the same guy who put the Wolf on the front cover of the P2 blu ray. I'm looking forward to seeing some new predators on screen, not that one...

Well since it's Shane Black, he's probably going to want to give it the same bells and whistles of the original. So I'd assume, it's going to be heavily reminiscent of that one, if not a direct copy.
I don't have a problem either way, as long as the Berserkers are completely forgotten.

Shane Black? "You'll never see him coming?" Hopefully the Predator doesn't turn out to be Ben Kingsley doing an acting gig. Honestly I'm genuinely wondering if Black's "twist" for the movie is that it'll be marketed as a traditional Predator film then will go abruptly sideways, like having new creatures, or a different origin for the Predator (a government manufactured bio-weapon, whatever.)
