If they want to change it up, let the Predator win. What better way to do so?

the last shot could be the pred roaring surrounded by the kill and raising a skull.

Re: Predator Reboot...

It would take some balls to let the Predator win but I can't see the lead actors trilogy movie contract allowing that. :lol

Ive said it before but they can have survivors that didn't have guns for the next movies. or someone that just happened to hide so well the predator forgets about them.
It can be done, have an entire village of survivors that will lead the second movie.

I still like the idea of the Predator escaping on his ship whilst the injured hero looks up and the end line is "He'll be back!". Predator ship flies into space. The end.

Although Predator would never run, he'd always kill himself before retreating or accepting defeat.

Re: Predator Reboot...

Yeah but this Predator needs to do the food shopping and get home to his wife and kids before he gets into trouble. He'll come back later and finish the job.

:lol:lol:lol

Yeah, he's got to devote time in between skinning game to protesting for high minimum wage and police brutality.

maybe the pred can think he killed everyone but one survivor stands up when he leaves. He doesn't make trophies of everybody and remember how he shot Gary Busey in the second one but he still didn't die from the shot he got.

something like that

Re: Predator Reboot...

I don't think he was calling it quits or anything, just trying to run back and regroup.

Re: Predator Reboot...

. . . He did go back to the spacecraft but not sure if it was to retreat :huh

From the novel (*scene in "the apartment bathroom" *) . . .

"The Predator lifted the emergency respirator, pressed it up against its face, and inhaled deeply. The supply in the reservoir would not last long. Without its helmet, its only hope of avoiding slow and painful suffocation was to reach the ship.

It felt strength returning as the life-giving gas flowed, and the pain of its wounds began to ebb. It had not failed yet. It could reach the ship, recover, and then avenge itself upon that human who had deprived it of a hand.

Once it reached the homeworld, a new hand could be grown and grafted on, but there was no going back until that human's skull and spine were nestled in the trophy case.

If the reservoir in the respirator only held out long enough to enable it to reach the ship, it could treat its wounds, get another helmet, and come back to finish the hunt. But there was no time to lose. It had to reach the ship at once."

Not sure if P1 taking his mask off to fight Arnie contradicts this, but there you have it.

Re: Predator Reboot...

I'll admit it's been awhile since I saw Predator 2 but didn't the City Hunter retreat to his ship?

there was a reason why he was referred to as the "shortbus predator".

-dumdum broke out from the ship, disobeying his uncle's orders
-random killing, not even trophy worthy kills....who wants a junkie on their wall? the other preds were really concerned.
-ran back to mothership, in plain view after he got his azz whooped.
-the ending translates to, "finally the disgrace is over", "here's a souvenir for your troubles"

:lol

I don't think it does, real life fights don't last long so presumably the P1 figured he'd have plenty of time to get it over with and get his mask back on (and would have were the film more honest ;))

It does however somewhat contradict why the Wolf etc has body parts missing, unless they simply choose to leave them that way.
