Mild nope.

You are right in that a judge should not arbitrarily determine a sentence (although probably some do).

Let us assume in the world of the riddle he can.

There is still another statement that better answers the riddle! :wink1:

Mistrial?

The judge cannot determine his sentencing on which statement he thinks is true or false.

Am I right? :D

We have a winner!!!! :clap

He said, "You'll sentence me to six years in prison." If it was true, then the judge would have to make it false by sentencing him to four years. If it was false, then he would have to give him six years, which would make it true. Rather than contradict his own word, the judge set the man free.

"You will sentence me to 6 years."

It creates a paradox.

Good one, Doctor_B.

Voorhees27 - Go ahead, bud. I am still trying to invent one.

Ok. Heres the next one:

Police officials were investigating a mysterious death.

When they arrived at the scene of the crime they found a room with no windows and the dead man who seemed to have hung himself by a rope from the ceiling.

There was no chair or table that the man may have jumped off.

The only clue was water found on the floor.

How did the man manage to hang himself.

This thread needs to be more like the movie screen shot thread ..in the way that only the riddle solver can post a new riddle.

Edit- nevermind i see the rule has been enforced:)

Cool. Never heard it before, and I didn't cheat! :D

If three cats catch three mice in three minutes, how many cats would be needed to catch 100 mice in 100 minutes?
