Legs and chest tonight and Shadow look at the scale in three days of working out and u'll be ok! :rock

I bit the bullet and looked anyways and only gained a pound. I was lifting some serious amounts of sand most of the week so I know I have not lost much muscle and with the swimming I can see why I lost some weight.

Do you guys do traps on back days or shoulder days?

Ive been doing them with shoulders for years and thinking of switching it up

I like to go all out on legs so that's why I work them by themselves. Same with the back since it's another large muscle group. For medium muscle groups like chest and shoulders I like to add a smaller muscle group to the mix like triceps, biceps or 4 arms. The routines that have worked for me for 20 years is the Mike Mentzer and Dorian Yates philosophy. Which is go to the gym don't socialize and hit those muscles heavy and hard and then take your ass out of the gym and start resting and recovering those muscles. I believe in full recovery that way when you go back to the gym you can hit that same muscle group to the fullest and not half assed. I like to switch up my routines also to shock up the muscles so they wont get accustomed to the same thing over and over. I rarely socialize at the gym when working out. Just hi and bye. I know guys who go around the gym and socialize with everyone like they were at a bar trying to be Mr. Popular, meanwhile they are ruining their workout by letting so much time go by between sets and they are keeping others from maximizing a full workout as well.

How did u get banned all ready with 6 post :lol

So Ski?? Traps with back??

I'm a traps with shoulders kind of guy, never really liked it with back because by the time I'm done with back I feel like a MAC truck ran me over.

I agree with keeping the biggest body parts to themselves.

Unless you really just need a change in order to keep u in the gym to mix things up.

It only has around 100mg of caffeine in it so it's not THAT much. If it was your first time i'm sure it was just your body adapting. I take it every time i hit the weights and i love it.

(but i don't do cardio with it)

How can you tell how much caffeine is in it, the bottle only says proprietary blend and doesnt break down the amounts of the ingredients?

Hey guys... new to the boards, but an avid fan of the gym. I'm going to go back and read the posts, but thought I'd introduce myself for the time being. Look forward to reading and posting more here in the future.

Oh, and just for the topic's sake, I recently purchased some MSM (for joint health) and some CLA on the advice of a friend. Does anyone have any personal experience with either one?

Cheers!

Rob

Being a recently diagnosed diabetic, taking supplements (due to the caffeine) and even protein powders has become difficult.

Any suggestions ?

I have a somewhat, but not exactly, similar issue in that I have a severe peanut allergy which makes it hard to find protein bars and such that I can take as meal replacements. Here are some links to articles that might help you get some answers:
