I know a lot of people here don't like The Talking Dead, but I usually find it very interesting, especially last night. First of all, they had a great guest in Conan O'Brien. He was a riot. However, there were a lot of interesting tidbits that I didn't catch during the episode like...

1.) The blond guy who gets whacked first at the trough was Sam from episode 4 last season. I thought it was him, but wasn't sure until they confirmed it. The actor also plays the Penguin on Gotham now.
2.) Mary was Gareth and the Termite who got shot in the head by the other Termites mother??? Was there something in the dialog that I missed? So that means that Gareth gave the order to kill his own brother?? Wow!
3.) I thought the guy in the last flashback looked like a Negan type too, but they confirmed he was the crazy biker dude that Glenn let out of one of the train cars. I could see the facial tattoos when he came out of the train car, but I couldn't see them in the flashback scene.

Cool stuff. Next week's guest is going to be Tyreese. :panic: Still time to get in TWD dead pool.

I missed the whole mother connection too until talking dead. But I went back and watched the scene and when the crazy tattoo guy throws crazy Mary back into the cart in the last flashback you can here Gareth call her mom a few times. I couldn't see any of the tattoos either when I went back and watched it and would've never noticed it had it not been for Gimple on TD. And your right last nights TD was great.

I plan on rewatching the episode again tonight to catch all the things that I missed.

The symbol was on at least three of the trees heading into the woods. I like your idea of Gareth (or someone else) tracking them.

For those of you who are saying that Rick was crazy for wanting to go back into Terminus to kill them all, not sure how you can think that after what happened to Rick when he followed that path at the prison. It lead to Lori's death when he didn't kill the inmate and it lead to the prison being destroyed when he didn't go after the Governor. Gareth is a loose end that is going to come back and bite them in the @ss. :lecture

Yup and up until the end of the episode last night he thought that Judith had been killed because of the governor. And let's not forget Herschel. It was tactical as much as it was personal in my eyes.

Loved the episode! It was so good!!! Can't wait for Sunday! :rock

Surprised they allowed crazy tatoo guy to live so long in the box cars. Considering what he did, would have thought he would be one of the first to go.

Seems like they kept him alive as torture. He did act a "little" crazy when Rick let him out. They probably fed him his buddies.

The unpredictability of death is what makes this show so compelling. Death doesn't wait or skip over someone if they are becoming interesting or likeable. If it happens, it is going to happen regardless of those factors. It is a testament to the strong writing and character development of the show that makes us feel strongly one way or another towards a character or event that happens.

Dale, Merle, Andrea and Hershel were predictable.

If the "last time on Walking Dead" sequence is about you, the prologue is about you, you make a long preachy rant, or the first half of the episode is setting you up as the ultimate bad *** (and you're not Rick, Michonne or Carl), you're a goner. You can feel when someone has served their purpose and is dropped, that's how the show works.

Right now, Carol is probably one of my favorite characters, right up there with Rick and Michonne. Let's face it though, she's served her "purpose" to the writers just like Merle did. Maybe give Rick and the group a little more "I'm sorry we ever doubted you" talk and a martyrdom save situation, then death time. She'll be put in some BS situation just like Andrea, Merle and Dale were in where a single walker messes them up.

I agree with you. I feel it's gonna happen. I hope it doesn't because she's one of my favorite characters on the show and about makes up for what they did with Andrea.

Yeah, I hope it doesn't happen (especially after last night's fantastic episode), but I'm sure the writers already decided her fate when they wrote The Grove.

One thing I don't understand is why the group doesn't cover themselves in walker guts all the time.its been proven that a few inards on the outside makes you unnoticeable so why do they not constantly have some on.or at least have a group of michone style pets with them to camouflage them a bit.

Would you want to smell rot, death and **** every single hour of every day? They come across the dead only occasionally and can avoid or escape them fairly easily in the open. It's only in tight situations where they need to move directly through a large group that something like that is necessary.

As for keeping some dead with them like Michonne, not only would it slow them down and hamper their ability to react, but they would require a large number to camouflage such a large group.

I would imagine it eventually dries up and loses some effectiveness, not to mention seems really unpleasant to wear. Not that you don't make a good point.

weren't there more people trapped in those container? beside the weirdo with the tattoo, they didn't rescue anyone else Mr. Green suppose.

I asked this before and it may have been answered and I've forgotten - why does having a couple of neutered walkers by your side act as camouflage anyway? If the smell of other walkers masks the scent of a living person then why can't anyone walk among a group of walkers and go undetected whether you have 2 of them as 'pets' or not...

Honestly, I think it's really just because it looked cool in the comic and on TV. :lol And because the origin of her pets was tragic and good for the story. I can't think of a good reason why it should do the trick.
But your "accumulated stench" answer is probably the best one to actually explain why.

Judith will probably end up surviving and having the most walker kills with a dirty diaper. :lol

I know. Believe me, I do not want to see Judith die and if it happens, I hope it is off screen. When that Termite was threatening to snap her neck, I wanted to leap through the tv and snap his. Unfortunately, I just can't see them keeping a baby on the show for a prolonged period of time. She's been around now for almost two full seasons.

I really hope that doesnt happen, there are just some lines that shouldnt be crossed.

If there isn't a cure, I'm kind of hoping Judith grows up to lead the group, like the Feral Kid in the Road Warrior.
