:exactly: I can think of no reason not to tell the group about the cure. Unless he doesn't know what it is either. Something fishy there.

There is no cure - he wants to unleash a modified (otherwise deadly) pathogen that will only target the zombies. I don't spend much time thinking about that story line however, as up to this point it hasn't been the focus of our group.

Same with Gareth and others. The rest of the crew should have listened to Rick. Someone will die because of all this.

If you've watched the trailer (debuted at Comic-Con) then you know Gareth is going to be back and is talking about Washington (40 second mark in the trailer). They cut the scenes so it's hard to tell to whom Gareth is speaking, but it's somewhat clear he's not in the same place as Rick's crew in the interleaved scenes (church).

Yet if everyone is a carrier, wouldn't it kill everyone?

Something is definitely odd with Eugene. :lol

You may be onto something. :lol

What made them choose that moment to ask Eugene about the cure anyway. Didn't seem prompted by anything in particular.

If I were trapped in a rail car with a guy who can maintain a mullet like that throughout the damn apocalypse and then he tells me he's the key to saving the world, I'd ask the ****ing question too.

While I do think Eugene is full of crap, and has somehow managed to convince his protectors he has the cure, just for a minute in the traincar I thought he was going to reveal something like a Walker-bite that never turned him. Then he opened his mouth.

I really enjoyed the first episode. The whole cannabil thing was really un-nerving. It felt like a Hostel/Saw movie at some points. I just hope the show builds on this now and continues strong.

I liked how Eugene was stalling on rigging that shell casing. :lol

I also wonder if Michone will ever get another sword. :(

I wondered if Eugene is the cure. Kind of like an I Am Legend vibe. And I have no issues with his explanation. To him it's clear as day. People with extremely high IQs tend to be on a different intelligent level than "normal" folks.
