Very, very good episode. Some of the best zombie kills yet. Right now the focus was all on Tyreese's death, which I would not have expected if I hadn't accidently read a spoiler. D@mmit! I was shocked that he went out only because I thought he was a fan favorite in the books. Was really expecting that friggin priest if anyone. Or it could have been the sister which would have maybe been what it took to harden him. However I think Tyreese just wasn't inhuman enough for that world. It wasn't about being soft or weak. That wasn't him. He was just trying to hold onto his humanity. That's what made the episode so strong, and definitely hope the actor continues to get more work.
However the bigger thing to me was what the hell happened to that compound. Sure they didn't do the best of jobs fortifying it, and clearing out the site lines. I'm actually thinking these scenes are foreshadowing some heavy stuff coming up, and maybe some real bad dudes. Keep in mind there were torched houses and broken fences that the walkers certainly didn't do. Who takes off arms and legs but leaves the torso? Some sick somebodies.

What !?

He lasted longer in the show than he did in the comic and there was some MAJOR foreshadowing going on in that episode directed right at comic readers for sure.

I don't read the comics so that's interesting, I thought he might still be around. I know there are some things that have deviated (Shane didn't last long, Andrea I think is still around). While I liked Tyreese okay as that new moral compass, he was just wasn't cut out to survive in this world. It's nasty business. So it was a good episode, and so cool to see returning cast members. I think they need to amp up the desperation meter even more this season. Anything but another bucolic stay at Hershal's Farm.

People are stupid if they find an episode of TWD silly or nonsensical? :dunno

No, people are stupid when their criticisms are stupid. This is the crows virus. You have it.

I too am honored. It isn't everyday one gets called out by a pseudointellectual like weaselof76.

A real weasel would troll threads with cheap, pretentious, self-serving crap masquerading as analysis. They wouldn't call you out directly/by name. But nobody needs to tell you that. You're a genuine intellectual with an appreciation for large, talentless boobs to prove it.

A real weasel would target new members over the course of eight years, hectoring them and goading them into fights. Then, when the mods arrive, he would do an about-face and change his tactics.

This person would take pleasure in making others' experiences on this board strained, uncomfortable and miserable. This person would also lob insults and invective at a certain member for standing up to his bullying ways.

You don't intimidate me. Your reign of terror is over. You better get used to it.

One more thing...you do know all about talentless boobs.

Holy crap it's like walking into a classroom full of 7th graders. Know off the shenanigans and play nice or Snoopy spank.

And for the record I don't give a **** if a few trolls dislike the show for whatever reasons. I like the show and my opinion is the only one that matters to me.

Will the girlie in your Christmas sig be doing the spanking, Snoop? :naughty Nah, I have a feeling the woman wielding the bat in your current sig would be administering the punishment. :monkey2

AMC's Walking Dead is geared towards the lowest common denominator so I can see why people are so quick to get defensive when people criticize it's awful writing in certain episodes. It's in their nature. The thing that I don't understand is why the staunchest of fans (the ones that will love even the blandest of episodes) get all offended when the detractors are only pointing out their own problems with the show? If you'll notice, the people in here that have supposedly caught the "crow virus" never attack other members who enjoyed the episode. The episode's writing and use of characters is the point of contention and yet, the fans always have to resort to name calling against those with an opposing opinion except for The Ween (and a few others that I respect in here).

As for the creators of the show, I get it, they don't have to put out their best stories like the creators of Breaking Bad or Mad Men because there's a built in fan base that just loves seeing Daryl shoot a walker in the head with his bow. That's about all they need to see to proclaim it as "teh best show evar". The circular formula of the show every season caters to their kind of taste and intellect so it's completely understandable. The thing that this thread needs is respect, a trait that's been lacking for the last couple of years since, well, season 3.
