Eh. I know this show isn't riveting, inspirational, thought-provoking high drama. It's a show about killing zombies and surviving. Some episodes are really good, like long discussion about themes and topics good and some are cringeworthy. For me it's the equivalent of popcorn movies detach brain and enjoy.

Honestly, I just want to find a place to discuss the events of the show without having to read the absolute mind numbing garbage that gets posted here. Enjoy it or don't enjoy it...I really don't give a crap, but if you don't enjoy the show why do you continue to watch it? In hopes that it's going to become the show you want it to be in your head? Just cut bait and move on.

I bailed on Agents of Shield and Gotham because I thought they were terrible so you aren't going to find me trolling those threads bashing what others are enjoying. Life is too short to waste time on crap you don't like. Maybe that's just the "lowest common denominator" in me speaking, but me like zombie show. Me look forward to Sunday. Me poop in pants.

So let me get this straight, just so we're clear. When people in this thread are having discussions amongst themselves that criticize an episode, it's okay to call their posts "garbage", and call them stupid, trolls, idiots and this new babyfied "crows virus" horse ****?

That doesn't seem fair. Mister Ski is always hot and bothered when someone comes in here and talks negatively about "his" show. It's like clock work. I remember a few months back there was an episode I really liked that some folks were ripping to shreds (I think it was about Gareth and a speech he had or something) and I just let it roll off my shoulders. Whatever? As far as I'm concerned, there's always next week to agree with each other (unless it's a season finale). I'm really surprised with you in particular Devilof. I know we've butted heads in the past about stupid ****, but man, writing off people as just another blackmask troll when they were just reacting to an episode they saw is BS. "Strawman baiting", "menstrual arm chair critics", "trolls"? You should know me (and Khev) better than that.

Also, this "oh my god man, the negativity in this _______ thread has got to stop, I don't feel like coming in here anymore" has got to cease whether it's this thread, the Hobbit, Marvel, or whatever. Grow a thicker skin. I've had plenty of things I like get ripped apart by other people's varying opinions, from films to collectibles, who gives a ****? If you're feeling ostracized as a fan, you need to take a break from message boards. I've never felt like people are pissing in my cereal and usually either debate what they're saying or find that the criticism is making me like what I like even more.

I don't know about blackmask, Khev, Yankee, or any of the other users that have expressed their dislike of the episode, but I never have voiced my criticisms in this thread to troll. I like this show and get pissed when I see ******, contrived episodes, that's all. I've only wanted to see it improve because I know it can be better. I was right there with all of you fist pumping at the beginning of this season (the first couple of episodes were great), so sue me if I DISCUSS the gripes I have when an episode pops up that I don't like. If you guys want to be a part of a forum community that is nothing but positive gushing, then I have some bad news for you, no such place exists. Had the 4 or 5 of us not expressed our thoughts on Sunday's episode, there would have been nothing of value in terms of contributions on these last couple of pages other than "I thought it was great, dat Governor, RIP Tyreese :("

I definitely didn't post here to troll. In fact I tend to avoid this thread completely due to the possibility of comic spoilers popping up (despite the thread title.) I didn't really know how I felt about the episode when I watched it but I was leaning toward it being too "soft" with them bringing back Beth and the girls to let them "re-exit" the show on a high note. But then I thought, well I'm a pretty sentimental chap, maybe I like that? But then after discussing it here it really did seem more and more like an illogical derivative episode. It didn't seem to be a major turning point or defining episode for the series so I thought some good natured back and forth about how "silly" it kind of was might make for good entertainment. You know, Genysis-style. I love Terminator but I can certainly poke fun at the weak installments.

Anyway, I know I got my b**** on when my precious Hobbit was getting raked across the coals so I won't fault anyone for being upset but I certainly wasn't trying to squash anyone's enthusiasm for the series or even this latest episode.

I do try to keep any comic talk in spoilers tags...I do hope that is OK but if it isn't I apologize and I will stop.

Yeah, none of us were. I can't speak for crows but I haven't even been in this thread ripping on the show before Sunday. I barely come in here unless it's "hey, wouldn't that be cool if this or this happened or maybe this comic scene played out?".

As for the Hobbit, I don't recall you ever stating that my posts were "garbage" or that I was a troll or any of the crap I'm seeing in here. We even had those nice back and forth PM's clearing up our thoughts. That's the thing, you, a-dev, Kara, me (the four of us in particular), Deckard, RIDDICK, Nova, Jye, Yankee, Clown Prince, etc. have all disagreed with each other when it comes to varying opinions. It happens. If we all agreed on everything, it would be boring. One thing I've NEVER seen any of is do is cry, point our fingers and say "you're ruining my fun". We usually just post rebuttal after rebuttal and then leave it at that. Look at the BvS thread and the current back and forth going on in there. Nobody has resorted to name calling or using the clichéd troll card. Hell, those MoS fans take the daily Hopeman rips quite well and it's pretty much constant unlike this "Walking Dead sux" issue that people seem to have. They never resort to "oh, woe is me, this place isn't fun anymore", they just keep on posting.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to DiFabio again.

DiFabio, I do know you and Khev better than that. And I know the enjoyment you get out of tearing things down for the hell of it. I'm even entertained by it when it's well done, at the expense of my taste or otherwise.

This round was not particularly well done. It came off as shallow, contradictory, and deaf to the obvious. It's like you weren't even trying. Now, should I have taken that to mean your criticisms were sincere, given that they were such a hash, and that now your feelings are hurt for not being taken at your word? I don't know. All I know is that I came in here after a simple, enjoyable episode to not a whole lot more than venom based on what amounted to petty nitpicks. I couldn't see how it could be anything but trolling.

Still can't, except that I respect you enough to give your appeal the benefit of the doubt. I could give a rat's ass if someone doesn't like a show or a movie, but if it's going to be used for chum, no one should take offense to being used for chum in return. All in good fun, right?

So, how do we tell the difference? I humored crows back in the day (even defended him against his more inspired haters), but in the end couldn't stomach his crap. Made me pretty pissed to have to endure him after that, too. Whatever. Don't take it personally if I get disappointed with you and Khev if I think I'm smelling it on you too. I expect more.

Wow. This was fun. Filled my lunch break.

As an outsider I'll add that the critics cast a dark shadow in here. It's ok to criticize casually but when it's like the writing sucks and is lazy and only low denominators like the show and people who are not part of the cultured establishment can't understand...well...that's intimidating. I was just hoping to get a glimpse of what people's thoughts were on DC and character discussions. Who wants to post in a thread dominated by critics.

I disliked the second half of season 4 and I really enjoyed the first half of season 5 (the first few episodes were great!). However I thought the last episode was boring to the point were I fell asleep half way through. I really hope the rest of season 5 is not more of the same.

Goddamn with the drama. The haters hate too loudy, and won't let the sycophants have their harmonious circle-jerk without all their intrusive criticism. The sycophants love too blindly, and won't let the haters have their cynical circle-jerk without intrusive criticisms of their intrusive criticisms.

Meanwhile, instead of actually talking about the show ... we spend 2000 out of 2300-odd pages talking about talking about the show. Which is a bit too meta for my tastes.

It's a wonder people wander out of this thread never to return.

My intent certainly wasn't to troll. I'm not even a "hater." I've been pretty forgiving when it comes to TWD and its writing foibles, especially toward the end of the first half of this season.

I found it to be a very unsatisfying episode. You brought up several excellent points and I added a few provocative gifs. Some people got annoyed. You know what? Deal with it. It comes with the territory.

You're right about Man of Steel fans. Nobody on this board - nobody - has to put up with more **** on a daily basis. If anybody has a "right" to lash out, it's them. But they mostly take it in stride.

TWD is not a sacred cow. It is not above criticism. Just a week or so ago, some Freaks were criticizing The Empire Strikes Back. THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK.

Was it annoying? Yep. Was it frustrating? Hell yeah. But you know what? I let it go. I certainly didn't call anybody stupid or immature or accused them of being overtaken by a virus.

gotta have a strong stomach to love the peep who love this show and love the hater who love to hate and love the hate in the show as well.
