I can understand Morgans actions, but his world is not ready for it yet.
Indeed. I said the same thing a few pages back as well. He's got the right idea, but not in the post zombie apocalyptic world.
They're living in a time where they must fear the living.

Okay, so the zombies are all pooled down below the cliff, covered by vehicles, going out forming a line right. Why don't they just burn them all at the source while having another group shoot and pile the bodies up just to make sure none of the zombies got out and start a fire or something.

There is a scene where the cliff collapse so they're coming no matter what. And fire won't kill them all. They'll just survive pass the flame. That diabetic blond girl die to 2 of them that survive the fire and encased within glass.

Imagine Morgan dealing with the governor

Imagine dealing with terminus

Or dealing with the claimed guys.....

Even dealing with a Shane...

Morgan would have gotten the entire group killed over and over, he is insane. He never got better

He got his son killed and now almost got carol killed

He was always a weak man. Carl was a little boy and he shot his own mom... Morgan wasn't even able to save his son

Morgan will be tested with the best of them. His son died before he became a changed man. Everyone loose a friend/relative to zombies.

One can argue that Rick got his flaw too. Even his own son, Carl, blame him for mistake at the prison and dropped the badge. During the Governor episode, Glen was upset of Rick's action that Maggie could be compromised and Daryl left anyway.

So there will be friction anyway, whether Morgan is around or not.

Be interesting how the story develop with Morgan.

I personally didn't care for the mid season finale. I found it way too predictable. We all knew that wall was going to come down at some point, the imprisoned wolf will escape, and Glen makes it back, sort of. The only thing I bet would have happened was that boy killing someone, and that didn't happen.....yet.

I ended up reading spoilers for episode 9, eeek! What happens in that would have been better to see in the mid-season finale.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR

Post that stuff in spoilers man!

Well I heard it during a episode 8/episode 9 spoiler preview on YouTube. It sounds true enough. The guy said...

Sam freaks out and gets eaten by walkers. Jessie tries to save him but she won't let go of Carl who is holding Judith so Rick chops Jessie's arm off to free Carl. Jessie and Sam are both goners.

I was hoping they would deviate a bit from the comics on that bit. I want to see that one person around for a bit longer. :monkey2

You dont have to be Nostradamus to figure out sam will be a walker meal 30 seconds outside the door. They should have blindfolded and gagged him that way he wouldnt freak.

In case anyone wants a complete rundown of what happens in the comics...
Rick, Carl, Jessie, and Ron (who is Jessie’s only son in the comics and is closer to TV Sam’s age) are using the guts trick to traverse the sea of walkers. Ron freaks out, gives himself away, and begins to be eaten. Jessie panics and tries to save him, while still grasping Carl’s hand. Rick hacks Jessie’s hand off with his hatchet to save Carl, and Jessie is devoured. Meanwhile, Douglas (whose TV equivalent is Deanna) steps outside and begins firing wildly into the crowd of walkers (I don’t remember exactly, but I think he was trying to clear a path for Rick and Carl). Suddenly, walkers begin eating Douglas. As he goes down, he continues firing shots and a stray round hits Carl in his right eye, barely missing his brain and taking out half his face. Rick rushes him to Denise, who saves his life.

And this what I think will happen in the show...
Since the midseason finale set it up perfectly, I think the same general series of events will happen. Sam will freak out and get eaten. Jessie will try to save him, and Rick will hack her hand off. Then the show will diverge from the comics. Ron will be pissed that Rick just let the rest of his family die, so he will raise his gun and either (1) shoot at Rick and Carl will intercept the shot, or (2) Ron will deliberately shoot Carl outright. I want to say Rick will then tear Ron apart, but Rick will be too preoccupied catching Carl and rushing him away, so I don’t think that will happen. I think either walkers will get Ron too, or Michonne will kill him on the spot. Michonne loves Carl, so I think his being shot will awaken the dormant animal within Michonne and lead to her hot-blooded execution of Ron. Denise will escape her hostage situation somehow, because she is the one who is supposed to save Carl’s life.

(This is one more reason I’m pissed at Morgan. Never mind that he rendered Carol unconscious, giving the Wolf the chance to escape, take Denise hostage, and confiscate Rosita’s, Tara’s, and Eugene’s weapons and leave them defenseless. But also by taking Denise hostage, the Wolf is endangering the person who is supposed to save Carl. I know Morgan didn’t intend for all of this to happen, but his stupidity led to the endangerment of five people in addition to himself.)

The only reason why I don’t think Jessie will get killed is because they won’t have a chance to build to it properly. Jessie has become a significant part of the show so I think they will want to milk her death more. When the episode begins in Feb, they will already be walking among the walkers. So to have Sam freak out, get killed and then have Jessie get her hand cut off and get killed too, all in the span of the first few minutes of joining them seems improbable. That would have worked if it was at the end of the mid season finale, because it would have had the whole episode to build to that moment.

However, I do think Sam will get killed because he freaks out. Only, I think he’ll freak out and won’t want to let go of Jessie, and Rick will hack Sam’s hand off so they can be free.

That's actually a really interesting theory. Hmm...I can almost imagine that happening. Personally I'm still leaning on the prediction that the scene will play out as it did in the comics (in which both Sam and Jessie die back to back), but I do agree that it would have been better for it to happen at the end of the MSF and the cliffhanger be Carl getting shot. It would have only required about 60 additional seconds of air time too.
