Except he's Daryl Dixon. He was impaled on one of his own arrows in season 2, made himself a zombie ear neckless, got the best of his older brother hallucination, got shot in the head by Andrea, and was fine minutes later. He could easily take it like a champ

An arrow and a bullet are two completely different animals. I think the former might actually be a vegetable.

He's been locked in a box, bleeding internally and profusely. Maggie would be able to take it better than he would.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned but the POV shots in the back of the truck are from behind Daryl and Michonne was Directly behind him, you could still say it's Glenn or Rosita. But when Negan is doing the 'eeny meeny miny moe' he points the bat at everyone apart from Michonne, which would leave her as the one getting the bat pointed at them from the POV angle.

Although they could just be misleading us But she's my front-runner.

Not necessarily the logic of his decision making process; the logic of who could have remained conscious (or even upright) after the first blow. But, I'm sure he has his own clearly defined reasons for who would make the best example. I would not take his indecision at face value.

I just wonder how they will maintain the emotional impact of Daryls/Glenn'/Abraham's death after this pause......
They better not do a whole "3 episodes to figure it out" crap.

It will be interesting to see how this death will wreck Rick. He goes pretty south for a while in the comics....he was definitely losing it during the capture.

Maybe, though I thought Gimple said on TD that this season's story ends with whomever dying, and the new season will begin with who died and what that means to everyone.

And I am thinking we won't "see" who dies we will just be told or shown later who it was. I don't see them picking up from the swing and letting us see the actual gore.

I'm not so sure about that. I thought I heard Gimple say that the S7 premiere would seriously push the boundaries as far as the gore that is shown on screen. I took that to mean that we will physically see the victim being lobotomized by Lucille.
