Most tv shows last between 3-5 years now. There's no time for people to grow tired of it. Hershel's unlimited ammo just gave everyone a chuckle back then, but if it were to happen now, it would've been a much bigger deal.

I still enjoy the show. Better than most shows on these days.

It isn't like this show is fully turning into a dramatic Soap Opera or anything, turning as dull and slow as a fully daytime soap opera. yeah it is the fans that just dont get it. yep

Meh.....I used to be glued to the TV watching this....interruption was shunned .....

Right as the fight broke out I had to use the bathroom....I did not rush....nothing happened anyway.

I feel like you can just turn into the last 5 minutes and you basically get everything meaningful that will happen.

This artistic cutting/editing is annoying as hell.

I honestly like the Whisperers war and what the character go through in that arc....so maybe they are accelerating the story to get to that point.

If they drag out "All out War" for a whole season I doubt I will bother tuning in.

What I am most interested in seeing is

what happens to Negans character arc is really interesting after all this. I wanna see Rick struggle with keeping him alive , him be friending Carl, and fighting the Whisperers for Alexandria.

its really sad what this show has become..

The shooting windows instead of Negan .... Gab just did the most dumbest thing ever.. Speech is cheesy as hell... Magan as the new leader does not fit at all...Zombies can now walk as fast as a Motorcycle is driving.... everything looks just dumb somehow

As I understood it ... they're shooting windows to make noise to draw the herd. Though they didn't make that very clear. Plan seemed to make sense to me. Kill the lookouts, rattle the leadership, draw the herd. I actually thought this battle plan was better than most Rick plans have been. Could've made it clearer that he didn't have a good shot on Negan.

Speeches were a little 'Independence Day'. Maggie works as a peacetime leader, in my opinion. Which zombies were keeping up with the bike? He wasn't trying to dust them ... just stay enough ahead to set the path.

Not a perfect episode. But, good enough.

I’m just so tired of the speeches. It’s incessant, at this point. It’s like ****ing North Korea up in this *****. Rick Jong Un and Negan Kim San fighting for control of the hearts and minds of their people. “Rah rah, Supreme Leader Rick will lead us to glory and victory and we praise him.” I need to stop bitching about how this show is so conventional; it is what it is, no one is ever going to get their head blown off in the midst of one of their masturbatory pep talks. ****, I don’t even think Game of Thrones has the balls for that stuff, anymore.

I had a lot of fun with the episode but the speeches & time play are getting old to me. And how things went down at the sanctuary didnt make sense, lot of wasted ammo and the opportunity to end things was right there and ricks group didnt execute. The writing for that whole sequence did not make sense from a practical stand point but if it had ended then the tension and story arc would be over in the 1st episode so everybody knew it wouldn'nt be ended there, it would at least be the 1st half of season 8 if not the whole season.

Well in the comic it's show that Negan's compound out numbers Alexandra's like 10-1.

Negans says this , which is why they lead the walkers to the compound to make up for the difference. But I think they cheaped out on hiring extras to show that many Saviors....so the whole point of being outnumbered was rendered mute. Because you didn't see the massive imbalance of forces.

The were wasting what little ammo they have just making a lot of noise....which also is left unsaid...they were not really there for Negan. They were there to even the odds....Gabriel mentions it

Once again really bad editing and scene choices....
They need a new editor yesterday...

If what you all are saying is what is believed to be the show's intent (why they were shooting at the windows, not shooting negan, etc) then they did a piss poor job at explaining that. Agreed that the editor should be fired. Nothing about that episode (due to the editing possibly) made any sense. It appeared they were just making stupid decisions instead of showing what their real plan was.

First season is pretty patchy. But season 2 and 3 were great.
