Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

That's exactly my point. Just because it doesn't exist legally in this world, doesn't mean you should exist without it when you can still try to. Why wouldn't you want to try and make this horrible new world as hospitable and livable as possible? Why wouldn't you want to try and be as normal as you are still afforded? This is all accomplished by keeping the torch burning. Give it up and what's the point? To exist?

Before anything else, you'd have to have security. Without that, you have nothing. When you risk that, it's not just your life that's in danger, but everybody with you. Saving the life of a murdering rapist isn't worth taking that risk.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

If someone shoots at a cop and the cop shoots back and hits the man in the leg, does the cop then walk up and put 10 more in his head? Or does the criminal get medical treatment? Does the criminal then get to be killed or does he go to jail? And who's making these decisions along the way? Why was that process created? If that process no longer exists, does that mean you should change it? Why? What's the threat of bringing him back? He's unarmed, subdued, crippled. Why not use your brain and hang on to your humanity? Why do that? Because you still can.

You are trying to apply a scenario in this world to a scenario in the Walking Dead world. The whole point we are trying to make is that the rules from this world don't always apply anymore. Of course, if a cop shoots someone that they would get medical attention in this world. If a cop (first of all cops as we know them don't exist in the Walking Dead world) shoots a person in the Walking Dead world, then he probably does get killed or left for the Walkers. Like pixy said, just because you make hard decisions doesn't mean you lose your humanity along the way.

You apparently skipped my last two posts. :lol

Just seen the latest episode and the kid is annoying me more every time.

Exactly right. You can believe in the best of humanity. But you also have to be practical. When the world has gone to the pits you're going to have to make some difficult brutal decisions or I guarantee you that there will be someone out there waiting to take advantage of your high ideals; and not to your benefit.

You post too damn fast :lol

Normal and affordability do not exist anymore and burning torches attract Walkers. :lecture

I don't disagree with this, but how does any of this effect keeping your humanity when you can? That's all I'm saying.

Sometimes I suppose you have to sacrifice something so future generations have the luxury of keeping their humanity.

Because while you are busy keeping your humanity, others will be taking your life. Again, like pixy said just because you are making brutal tough decisions doesn't mean you lose your humanity. Is it affected by the decision? Probably and most likely, but humanity isn't an all or nothing proposition.

You can add my name to that list too then. I will do what I need to do to protect what is mine no matter what that does to my "humanity".

Just a two quick pennies from the stands before I go back to spectating: Call me inhumane but if my son and daughter were even in 1% threat by Randall especially after hearing what his group did to those girls and how they acted, I would have shot him in the head without thinking twice even with Dale _____ing and moaning the background. My kids, wife are way more important to me than a random stranger whether that makes me a monster or not I don't really care.
