Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

:exactly:

I love how people equate any type of killing as being a Shane or being bad guys. I've said it before and I'll say it again. My top priority would be to keep my friends and family safe. I wouldn't waste time, energy or ammo on some piece of sh-!t who was trying to kill me moments earlier. I also wouldn't pull a "devil" and debate the potential merits of this person and is he really a "good" person. You don't have that luxury anymore because if you are wrong, then you (and your family) could be dead. This is why devil wouldn't last long in this type of world. He is not a fast learner - because he has held the same viewpoint though out the course of this show. If he wants to label me as a Shane then I label him as a Dale - someone annoying and gets under your skin and goes off pouting when he doesn't get his way and carries around a rifle to look tough but drops it when a Walker attacks. :lol

I'd rather live in devil's world then. Someone who understands what it is to be human and what it means to try and keep a civilization. That in no way shape or form means he or me or anyone else wouldn't do things that are necessary to survive, but it's the seeking of the necessary that would be important to me. If you don't do that, there really is no point in living other than to just exist.

I see Devil as being more like Hershall. Sure he seems delusional, but if given a wake-up call, he'd adapt.

Then my advice would be to eat a gun and save the lives of the rest of your group. Again, it only takes one ____-up to wind up dead in a world like that, with the women in your group raped and murdered (not necessarily in that order either). Or worse... robbed of everything and left defenseless against a group of walkers.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Why do people on the show always say things like, "I rather ______ than wind up like one of them (Walkers)."

Would you care if you came back as a Walker?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

If humans are the real threat, it's people like you that would be the problem. Someone like devil would try to ask you a question and you'd just start shooting from the trees because everyone's a threat. If everyone tried to work together, where does the problem come in? It's the trigger happy, nervous, kill or be killed mentality that would create the problem. You can still assess a situation and make the right choices for the good of the group and their lives, but the reason you'd need to be making these decisions is because of some psychopath who thinks what it takes to survive is kill first and then scavenge.

Would you even know? :huh :lol

Assuming you would, constantly being hungry, having to lumber around and the paint of your rotting flesh doesn't seem desirable in the least. :lol

As usual, you've failed to gather any info from my other posts and are trying to make 2 + 2 = 9. I never said I'd shoot and kill someone I came across just "because." I'd kill someone who tried to kill me or kill someone I deemed as a threat. In the case of the two in the bar, and Randall, they all proved to be threats and all met a fitting demise. FYI, you're defending a rapist. :lol

Coming back as an aware zombie would be way better than not coming back at all IMO.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

What's wrong with visuals? It's a visual show right? It had a great look at first, and then lost it, and now it's getting it back.

I want the whole package. I love how people can't accept any sort of critisim to the show. Even when someone compliments the ____ out of it. :lol

Next you'll be asking for Michael Bay explosions and Transformer noises.:slap

I'm generalizing a mentality with the action. I would also kill someone who tried to kill me, but like I said, who is the real problem if you're in that situation? The person like me or the person like you(not literally)? I've never defended Randall(nor does anyone know for sure if he raped anyone). I'm defending the process of his fate and the civility of the decision making process. He wasn't a threat on that farm chained up in a barn with an armed guard watching him. Why not take your time, as a group, to make what you feel is the right decision? Why not try to continue to be human and make human decisions instead of just doing what the zombies could do themselves, stumbling around with no brain, killing, and eating.

He should never have been at the farm in the first place. After trying to kill Rick, Hershall and Glen, he should've been left to his fate on the fence. That's the point we're all arguing that only 3 of you seem to be unable to grasp. :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Unable to grasp? If you read the last line of what you quoted you'll find my answer.

Irrelevant. Zombies can't think. As a human, I'd assume that Karma or a just God or whatever the ____ you believe in, dropped his ass on that gate to become walker chow to aid in our escape. There's nothing more human than reveling in ironic justice. :lol

Not using your brain and acting on an instinct that's irrelevant to the world you now live in is more inline with the brainless walkers. :huh

Sometimes continuing to be human means making tough brutal decisions. There is nothing inhumane about that.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

If someone shoots at a cop and the cop shoots back and hits the man in the leg, does the cop then walk up and put 10 more in his head? Or does the criminal get medical treatment? Does the criminal then get to be killed or does he go to jail? And who's making these decisions along the way? Why was that process created? If that process no longer exists, does that mean you should change it? Why? What's the threat of bringing him back? He's unarmed, subdued, crippled. Why not use your brain and hang on to your humanity? Why do that? Because you still can.

I agree. It was a much tougher decision to decide to save a man who was previously shooting at you than it would be to just leave him to die.

1st, it depends on where you are. I've seen a guy shoot at a cop (or even do something smaller like point a knife at a cop) and then get vented like the top of a bug jar. Secondly, you're ignoring the fact that the rules you're trying to apply are to a world that no longer exists. The DAs, judges, and everybody else who would uphold those laws are walking around trying to eat you now.

But even looking at this world and it's laws, they're highly flawed. A rapist and even a murderer can walk right out of jail, consequence free if they have information pertaining to a more serious criminal. There's no justice for the victims in that. None whatsoever.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Its not you though. Plus you're a danger to the living. Nah, shoot me in the head.

Good point. If it was me and my daughter I'd want to be shot in the head. If it was just me and my son... let me think about it.

That's exactly my point. Just because it doesn't exist legally in this world, doesn't mean you should exist without it when you can still try to. Why wouldn't you want to try and make this horrible new world as hospitable and livable as possible? Why wouldn't you want to try and be as normal as you are still afforded? This is all accomplished by keeping the torch burning. Give it up and what's the point? To exist?
