Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I guess it's like when the bar's closing, you go for whoever's around, regardless of attractiveness. She probably knows no older guy in the group is going to take care of her hormones, so she's just branching out.

Nah, that's no spoiler - with all the plots and characters intertwining, there's no way they don't cross paths soon.

before the season even started the promos show The Governor talking to Rick, and Rick saying how that prison is theirs...

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I don't know...statutory rape, a married man or your sister's boyfriend all seem much more weird to me than her smiling at Carl.

In some states Beth could be charged with statutory rape if she hooked up with Carl because there's a 3+ year age gap.

To me it would be weird in the real world because you would have a girl who is a sophomore/junior in high school interested in a 7th grader. She would be a pariah in her school....in a normal world/setting.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Then you aren't really watching the show. You entertain the possibility that everybody dies given the situations they are in, not to mention that with this show no one is safe especially given that characters who did die early were given a longer life and characters who were around and kicking long after where we are now are now dead.

Who knows, she might live well into her 20s if the show leaps ahead but if you didn't entertain the thought that a newborn baby in the zombie apocalypse has a better chance of dying especially given that full grown adults are falling left and right then I apologize for adding logic into the conversation.

Eh. Still don't buy it, the "different world" scenario doesn't fully stack here to make it believable. Be careful though, people might be able to entertain the idea that the group might met up with Woodbury folk, no spoilers. ;)

Knowing that anybody might die and now being forced to entertain the likelyhood that a child will die based on events in the comic that I would rather no nothing about are two different things

Yeah, a three year difference is one thing when it's a 21 year old girl after an 18 year old guy. But when you're that young, every year is a much bigger difference.

That said, it's a different world, so while I don't fully buy it, I don't not buy it.

Carl's got a shot, until the group meets the Governor, and she starts swooning all over David Morrissey.

Oops, there's another one.

Seriously, do you comic readers have no empathy for us non-comic readers? :cuckoo:

Acutally thats a little editing slight of hand. If you go back and watch it Rick's line was taken from his conversation with the surviving prisoners. The promo producers just edited in a shot of the governor right before to give th appearance that Rick is talking to him.

The promos did imply that. What actually happened though was Rick was talking to Tomas.

The thing is..I don't think she is interested in Carl as anything more than a friend/kid brother type of thing. People on here are speculating that just because she has smiled at him that she wants him as a potential love interest. Ridiculous! :lol

Mags had me tripping for a minute before his edit. :lol

Maglor said:
But you mentioned by name who Carl is interested in.

I was like "WTF!? Carl is gonna have the hots for the Governor!?" :lol

.........

You don't get it. Why make any specific regencies to comic events. Just keep all that's hit out of here.

Hi, my name is David Morrissey.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

He's not being specific Maglor. He's saying that girl will have the hots for him because of the actor playing the role. :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

That's the actors name? Well, that's still specific.

Also, Beth isn't in the comic.

So it's quite safe to say that a character who doesn't exist, being interested in an actor in the real world, probably isn't going to come from a comic book source.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Ah, so you're BSing. That I'm okay with. :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

In seriousness, I really hope no one else really is romantically interested in him. Andrea is already making me sick...

I'm just following a logical train of thought. Obviously, the group will meet the Governor at some point. Beth, all 16 and hormoned up, will see him and his dreaminess. Love ensues. The Governor gives up his evil ways, and they settle down to raise Lori's zombaby, and that is the end of the series. :inlove
