Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I think he drew a lot of inspiration from Night of the living dead, and from that he went with B&W. I find it hard to believe it wasn't an artistic choice, since I don't think he'd have a hard time convincing any company to back a zombie comic of his (since Marvel zombies was so popular), regardless of what he said during an interview (which he has given multiple explanations)

my first thought was that it was a nod to the Night of the Living dead movie, I mean that's what I first thought about when seeing it.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Damn, I'd never seen him, for some reason I pictured Kirkman as an old dude. :dunno

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Yup, not as "artistic" as some would have you believe. :lol

because he said it was "cheaper"?

he also said that when they believed night to be public domain they were just going to continue off the world that was set in. Hes obviously fixated on the B&W. Also, getting more "gore" passed in B&W is a straight up artistic choice to have a little more freedom.

Uh.... I guess "technically" if you're cracking sticks with your sphincter, it is. But it's not the grandiose scheme of, "I did it because I feel presenting the genre in black and white was the more unique alternative." It's more like, "Yeah dude, we could probably get away with more blood and guts if it weren't in color."

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Is Night of the Living Dead the only black and white zombie movie there is?
I mean I know there is White Zombie but that's more "Voodoo" zombie

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Theres alot of recent movies I've never heard about.. Abraham Lincoln vs the Zombies came out in 2012? :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

The reason I asked is because when I try to think of all the zombie movies I've watched or at least know about the only one that was in black and white was Night of the living dead. That's the only one I can think of.
Since we were talking about the comic and the show being shown in black and white it made me realize that I can't think of another movie in black and white.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Do you see what you did AMC?
These frackin' breaks are destroying us!
We are arguing about color vs B&W.
WTF?
Stop these mid-season breaks! They are evil!

Oh, when I watch Young Frankenstein, it's in color! Yep, color!

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I'm just glad porn is not in black and white... thank God :monkey3
