I think the criticisms for the last two episodes prior to this one were justified. It has nothing to do with age, attention span or all the other little things people have been throwing at people who have found fault with them.

There have been episodes that haven't had a single death and were light on the "walker action" that were still compelling. Still and Alone ain't them. Hopefully the final two episodes are more like Claimed and The Grove.

:exactly:

This episode definitely was the best of this half since it held my attention, and didn't feel like filler. I knew they were going to go the comic route with the sisters since...

the boy twins in the comic pretty much were the same characters, and the one went nuts and killed the other

I think this half redeemed itself with the past episode, I just hope it ends strong.

This episode makes the episode with Daryl and Beth ep with Beth being motivated by looking for a drink not only look like filler, but nonsensical filler. Maybe I missed it, but the golf club ep did nothing to advance the story. I get that not every ep can or should be momentous, but it really seems like they could have used the time better.

Also, I think had they left Lizzie, should would have likely figured out where they were going, followed the tracks, and found terminus. Then the problem becomes much more difficult.

I was hoping Lizzie would survive and become this serious bad *** female Carl where we get to watch her grow up and see this world thru a young girl's eyes. Cold, unafraid to kill, embracing responsibility, able to make tough decisions. That's where I thought she was headed, and the other sister was really just on the clock- a matter of time before she was gone. But they threw a nice curve with last night.

If they had abandoned Lizzy, anyone who crossed her path would be screwed. Timing is the only reason Judith is still alive.

"She can't be around other people."

Exactly!

great episode...can't believe that they actually used that story line from the comic...that took balls

...and this is why I love this show. They don't shy away from the tough, controversial topics.

I have to put this episode up there with some of the best TWD episodes to date...powerhouse performance from Melissa McBride and both child actors, gut wrenching and brutal story, and just generally moving, emotional television.

Lizzie was a ticking time bomb and lethal to have around, whether she killed you herself or lured in more walkers to feed/play with, she was dangerous and had to be put down. Carol's arc in this show has been amazing and she has developed into one of my favorite characters. I'm fascinated to see how an eventual reunion with Rick goes considering how she has been a huge part of Judith's survival despite is concerns about having her around his family.

Tyreese's forgiving Carol was yet another intense moment and one which I have to feel was benefitted by him watching Carol "do what needed to be done" to Lizzie. He at least could see where Carol's motivation lied and the fact that she not only killed Karen and David in a way that they didn't suffer, but that she owed up to the act and confessed to him had to earn her some respect.

Here's hoping the next two episodes are equally outstanding.

So I just watched the episode!
HOLY HELL!
Didn't see that coming at all.
So the crispy Walkers are from the house Daryl and Beth set on fire?
That's what I'm guessing.

Beth had little to no back story prior to the last few episodes. She was Hershel's daughter and Maggie's sister, but other than that what did we really know about her? The few times she was in the spotlight she was singing or taking care of Judith. While many saw her motivation as foolish, she is suppose to be a farm girl in her late teens. How does someone like that adjust to a zombie apocalypse? Knowing more about what makes her tick should make the audience more apprehensive about her current predicament. I don't like her any more or less because of those episodes, but I understand where she is coming from better.
