For whatever reason, the Christian toy industry seems to be stuck about 30 years behind everyone else. . .probably not fair to allow their inclusion in this thread.

I'm guessing the manufacturers figure, "Hey, kids ain't gonna buy these for themselves anyway. It's gonna be parents and grandparents trying to get their kids to care about religion with "cool" toys. And parents won't know a Dollar Tree quality toy from a Mattel toy, and even if they did, it isn't like there is a thriving Christian toy industry to force us to make better stuff. Yeah, let's just make the cheapest piece of ____ we can and sell it at all the Christian book stores for 20 times what it costs to produce! *thought bubble--$$$$$*"

My guess is they are produced by very small companies (or even private individuals) that have limited resources. Sadly its probably someone very well intentioned to make toys that Christian boys and girls can play and learn with... but sadly all their life savings accomplish is a bankruptcy and some lousy-ass figures for Slade to collect ironically

Cool figure but because of the silver paint requirement it was made out of some peanut brittle looking plastic and broke easily. You had to squeeze the arms together to do the kick and his arm or leg would break off. My Mom had to buy me this one several times.

I had this Brainiac figure and I agree: looked good for the time and for what it was meant to be but it couldn't hold itself together at all.

i actually saw this atrocity in person at the new york comic con. either the 2009 or 2010, can't remember, but what i do remember is thinking, wow, diamond's got some balls actually displaying this ____ like it's something to be proud of. i remember staring at it and just getting mad. lol.

i also remember seeing these in toys r us. there was a few different one's, all sport or environment related. they also made me mad. this looks like a bootleg you'd expect to see in a dollar store, not a place like TRU.
