I haven't watched WWE for a long time now, but I'm always interested to hear the latest gossip. I've gotta think this is a work, they'd have cut his mic the minute he started talking if this wasn't scripted. I'm sure there's an element of work to it, but perhaps Punk always had the ulterior motive to turn it into a shoot.

If he was always planning to do this, why would he "promise" that he'd leave the WWE as champ. If he 'surprised' them with his shoot, how in blue blazes would he assume he'd still get the shot at the title??

RAW for next week is a taped show....

Vince McMahon comes out and talks about CM Punk, saying he deserved to be suspended. John Cena comes out and asks Vince if Punk got under his skin. Cena wants answers. Vince couldn't risk Punk taking the WWE Title to another company. Vince told Cena to not be like Hulk Hogan and be a man. Vince says it doesn't matter what anyone wants, CM Punk is gone.

Cena says if he can't wrestle Punk, then he's gone and hands Vince the belt. Vince stops him and says here Cena is walking out on him like everyone else has. Vince reinstates Punk but if Cena loses at Money in the Bank, he's fired.

CM Punk has been one of my favourite Wrestlers
since he was back in ECW before they were bought
by WWE. His speech tonight was AWESOME!
I've always thought he was one of the better guys on
the mic and anything he says sounds real and believable.
I really hope he doesn't leave WWE. His character has
evolved into one of the better ones on the show. I'd be
sad to see him go.

Well in truth ECW was already owned by WWE when Punk was on it. . .but re: this being legit, the news about next week's taped show and the blog link above seems to prove that it was not a legit shoot rant.

It was at least mostly scripted but still a great little rant. If you watch it again, look at the wrist wrapping on Punks left arm. You can see the words Heyman and Fans lightly written on the wrap which were two of his rants. It was pretty noticeable in HD actually.

Still, it was one of the WWE's best shoot promos in the last decade. Can't wait to see what the payoff will be with the storyline. Hopefully WWE doesn't screw this up (like they have with other opportunities in the past).

CM Punk’s Twitter message Monday concerning his pending departure from WWE was copied verbatim from a post he made in June 2005 on his LiveJournal account regarding what was to have been his final match for Ring of Honor.

Days before ROH’s Death before Dishonor III event, Punk wrote: “I knew I was gone at the beginning of the year. I just woke up one day and knew. That’s the way I work a lot of the time. I think it’s creepy too, but it’s really helpful. I honestly knew i’d be history by June. Come say goodbye on Saturday, I promise to go out with a bang. Trust me. XxX” You can read his original blog at https://cmpunk.livejo....com/15096.html

Punk defeated Austin Aries to win the ROH World Championship and remained with the organization for an additional two months.

Fast forward to Monday, Punk wrote on Twitter regarding his pending departure from WWE: “I knew I was gone at the beginning of the year. I just woke up one day and I knew. That’s the way I work a lot of the time. I think it’s creepy too, but it’s really helpful. I knew I’d be history by July. Come say goodbye on July 17th. I promise to go out with a bang. Trust me. XxX”

A work, then. The video definitely had me thinking though. Awesome stuff from Punk.

If it's true that Cena "saves" Punk from being suspended before the match in July. Then they have already screwed it up by making Cena the main focus and not Punk.

As a performer I'm not a fan of John Cena at all; but as a person the guy is great. Definitely one of the nicest wrestlers to meet.

If anyone is interested, ROH is having a sale now with several $5 DVDs. I ordered a bunch tonight, having not seen much ROH at all over the last 4 years or so. Included in the sale is the show where CM Punk returned after leaving to go to the WWE for a match where he tags with Danielson (aka "Daniel Bryan").

Well he is a bit of a d**k in real life from what many have told me who've met him. That's why a lot of the veteran wrestlers including the Undertaker gave him a hard time backstage because of his attitude.

Yeah, HBK was never a "d*** in real life" or anything. :lol HBK deserves any scorn he gets. He and the "clique" were single-handedly responsible for a very ____ty period of wrestling with their lack of respect for those that came before them and what they stood for. If HBK gets his feelings hurt for Punk calling a spade a spade, then boo hoo for him.

I don't care about what he said to HBK because I know he was a major d**k. I was just confirming to the other forum member that CM Punk is well known for that.
