I agree that there are less opportunities for Native American, Asian and Hispanic actors these days. It's primarily two groups of people who get most of the roles and accolades.

Unfortunately the field has been set up that if one particular group isn't the winner, it's immediately racism. I'm for inclusiveness, but at the same time it should the best man that wins.

And thanks for the commonsense definition of an echo chamber that wasn't even being debated in the first place.

And my comment on echo chambers was that no one believes themselves to be participants in the same. You took that and made the massive leap of commenting on a "Hate ******" thread that doesnt exist. If you have some other information or posts i'm glad to examine it. Please show me.

And last i checked this is an open forum. Not only that, it's in the sandbox area. So if you have an issue with "jabs" maybe this isnt the thread for you. Or maybe ignore me. There's no law that says you have to respond. Or maybe throw some "jabs" back. You have a few choices.

You HAD to bring up Hannity, so you throw Sharpton in there to be equal... but you've had a few Fox posts recently. I don't have some dog in the fight with them nor any news network. So when I see it a few times, I comment on it. Deal with it.

And how is it not true? Hollywood has made it's political leanings very known... so it's not courageous to speak out in an ECHO CHAMBER of people that 99% of them share the same opinion. Do I care if they feel like they're in one or not? It doesn't matter, they're in it anyway. The public can pass whatever judgment they want on that stupid award show and everyone part of it, just as easily as they can pass judgment on the government and President.

And obviously you can't understand hyperbole when I was referring to your Whitewashing thread (and you know we exactly what I was referring to, so don't play dumb). It's an open forum yes, but no where did I try silence you.

On second thought, don't. I'm not going to relitigate that thread. But I do encourage you to read it. Thoroughly.

Your comment here was about how this is an open forum, yet I ignore ppl when I don't like what they have to say. I think the last page or two proves that wrong. Also, as i wrote in the whitewashing thread, I tend to respond to ppl who have something insightful or thought provoking. But opining in an open forum does not mandate that anyone reply to anyone. You and I are free to ignore whomever we wish. Or no one at all.
