Broke and happy
Some people have more patience than others--maybe because they have a more positive outlook and/or maybe they enjoy the conversations some of us don't enjoy. Personally, if it was a social setting rather than a work setting, I'd either ask those parents why they aren't making their kids earn anything (if I was feeling particularly chatty) or I'd just tell them I don't care because buying a kid a new Mercedes as their first car is ridiculous to me. I don't care how much money you have, that kid isn't going to appreciate the value of that car (or money in general) if they didn't have to work to earn it. If you're at work then I can understand having to put up with the conversation because everyone has to do that at their job. It doesn't make the conversation any less of a time-waster or any less aggravating.
I hear ya, that kind of stuff exists regardless if rich or poor, left or right that was just an example of something i'm witness to on a daily basis.
At the end of the day I guess the only thing that is perfect about us humans is our imperfections.
I always follow this very simple principle in life, be nice to these 2 people at all times:
Your waiter and the cop that pulled you over.
Those 2 can talk about themselves as much as they want i'm listening lol.
