Watching a movie 2 hours and 8 minutes long which glitches out and freezes at almost the 2 ****ing hour mark. Can't even skip ahead, it just stops at that point. Couldn't have happened 10-20 minutes in, no, rather when the film is almost ****ing over. I was about to see Morgan Freeman relieving Donald Sutherland of his command (guess the film)

1995 ebola movie. :lol

Putting people on "ignore" is teh gay.

Just a few weeks ago, some ass hat was bragging that he had me on ignore, because I was supposedly "rude" to him on the first day he signed up. I couldn't even remember who he was, and despite placing me on ignore, he was arguing with me the entire time :lol.

Outbreak. Wasn't Hoffman in that too?

I apologize if it seemed like I was bragging and brought up a sore memory for you. I just kind of felt like putting it somewhere to say that I'm done with a negative influence, so he wouldn't waste his time on me anymore, was the considerate thing to do. I guess I should have PMed him. Sorry 'bout that. I know now, and I now own half the battle because of it. :)
Also, it could go a long way to expanding the sphere of influence on this board if the vets wouldn't be so cliquish and afraid of outsiders. Just a thought.

You've got to understand, a lot of the forum vets have helped to build community forums and have kept the discussions in this place thriving for years. I can't really blame them when a new guys come in with an attitude and start arguing for the sake of just arguing. I haven't seen the discussion with you and devil, but it wasn't good tact for you to come in here, and bring a past argument into this thread, just to goad him into starting it all over again. You were also making quips at Snake Plissken in the TWD thread earlier today. I understand that it can be tough to fit in here. But, it's better if you take some time to know people and make some friends first, before going all out and arguing with folks. First impressions count a lot, and an Internet forum (like this one) is certainly not exempt from that.

Devil started it in this thead with his post about twats and whatnot. That was directed at me specifically after his ebola raging. I brought nothing to this thread, blame him. I accept responsibility for perpetuating it, sure, but I was not the originator. And that's where the cliquish crap comes into play.

Snake seems to revel in voicing his hatred of TWD, he really does, like it's a badge of honor to speak out against it. Otherwise, he seems a decent gent. I cant help what I read on here, I didn't write it after all. It's as bad as the fans he and crows claim to hate, just in the opposite direction.
Why should I take all the heat for being honest?

And, I am sorry if it sounds rude, but it's true. I really don't need etiquette lessons for online forums, I've been doing this for longer than most of you. I know the flow, and I knew after reading for months I would have a hard time as soon as I decided to post. I have the advantage of an outside perspective, and maybe on a small level that's not fair to you. But really, it's a good thing when it comes to the internet. Incest has nothing on internet forum cliques. :rotfl

I come from places that have been simmering in their own juices for years. Too many goddamn years. This was fresh meat for me, somewhat. You people need fresh blood. The in-jokes here are ****ing old already, and I don't even know what most of them mean. ;)

Well whatever you do, do it well and make it entertaining! Devil has an established grumpy Maine style that will creep into your bones on a cold day. No need to spit out your chowder, just agree to disagree and move on...just make sure that if you do make amends it's not too gushing.

:cuss :cuss :cuss

Back to the important hate topic at hand, I once ignored a guy on another collector's message board for an avatar he had of himself trying to look awesome. He never said anything I disagreed with, but when a man forces everyone who reads his posts to look at a cropped naked photo of his lame self, he better be posting on a dating site. Blocked forever for that junk.

Oh, well, I hope you and devil can put this behind :lol. But, about the TWD thread, there was no reason to take a generalization like that personally, or to give someone else heat being honest about how they feel. It's known to be a very difficult thread to voice any sort of critiques, and you really have to be 100% in support of all of the episodes, at all times, to be in good status with the discussions. Some of the fans just prefer the comics to the TV series, and it has given them a different take on how the show or characters should be handled.

It's up to you if you feel that your "outside perspective" gives you a strong standing in this place. But, a lot of folks in here are old enough, and have been using the Internet, chatrooms, and whatever else for decades. So, I'm not really sure what you're getting at. But, at the end, no one's going to rearrange the furniture just because new guys come in with entitlement issues and feel like they deserve consolation whenever they engage in arguments with forum vets (arguments which go both ways, by the way). You're not the first person to complain about "cliques" and you certainly won't be the last.

It's pretty pointless, because everyone who has someone on ignore, always ends up clicking "View Post" :lol. It would have been great if the forum had implementations like Facebook.
