'Spelling mistake' might not even quite cover what I'm talking about.
He's breaking up what is actually supposed to be just one word into three words.

I hate hard drugs. Dead friends ruin everyone's day.

I wasn't close to the guy, but a lot of my closest friends were. **** you addiction.

That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm closer to that scene than I'd like to be. There's nothing good to be said about it :(

Y'know I do regret that, of the 2 hates I posted earlier, the one about wanting to correct someone's spelling got more attention. I felt that my hate about the racism I encountered was a less jarring way to follow Devilof76's rather serious one about a drugs death.

Anyway apologies if I possibly came off insensitive with that trivial 'hate' at this particular point in the thread.

I followed Fosing's career hate with a hate about a colleague handling and dropping my DX04 figure. I think the organic nature of the thread happily accommodates both the trivial and profound.

I've just realised that Christmas and Stephens Day this year fall on what would be my 2 days off anyway. I hate that. I don't think I'm even gonna get the benefit of any half-days. **** sake.

Going to the dentist next week, first time in about 4 years.

Must be about 12-15 years for me. Sounds bad but I haven't had problems. Occasional sensitivity but that's it. I've kept their natural whiteness and I use those dental scrapers to get rid of plaque build-up.

Since anything I say about racism seems to get deleted, I don't talk about it anymore. If I commented on your post, I might get a ban. :dunno

That was more me wishing I hadn't posted the 'spelling' one rather than wishing people had commented on my racism hate, I wasn't laying blame with you guys there.

My father had perfect teeth, not a single cavity and never went to the dentist. He started having trouble with his eyes and his eye doc sent him to the dentist. When they x-rayed his teeth, all the roots were black and he had to have them all cut out. They couldn't even pull them. They were poisoning his system and it was going to his eyes. His eyes never fully recovered. He was in his early 40s I think. Go to the dentist soon.

:horror Yyyyyep I probably should bump it up my to-do list.

Jesus, that's terrifying.

:horror I have heard it said that the mouth is a great barometer for the health of your body generally - but sheeeeeet... that's a brutal story :(

I've only had a hangover once, and that's when I got drunk on champagne. I had a massive migraine all day.

Never had a migraine. Good thing too because I'm a massive ***** when it comes to headaches.

I'm missing my Dad a lot these days. :(

:1-1:

Sorry for your loss.

I appreciate the sentiment, but thankfully, it's not my loss. I didn't really like the guy, and he didn't really like me until he met my dad in county jail. My dad was a C/O for about three years before he got promoted to Lieutenant (Assistant Jail Administrator). He left a serious impression on a lot of guys that went through there. Last time I talked to the guy who died last week, he said my dad was more of a father to him than any man in his life. Showed him what it meant to be a man.

He had started turning his life around. Sober (not even cigarettes) for a year. The impact on friends around me is far worse than it is on me. And on the two children he left behind.

That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm closer to that scene than I'd like to be. There's nothing good to be said about it :(

Not a god damned thing.

Hell no. I would have kept it to myself if it had been more personal. Felt it was worth giving public attention to, if for nothing else than the example it provides. As in, don't be ****ing retards, kids.

As brutally destructive as that kind of death is, racism is by far the greater evil.
