I have mentioned once or twice before that as far as my own son goes, the monsters under the bed WERE his teddy bears.

When he was around 4 years old, his favorite cuddle toy was the Queen Alien figure from the McFarlane Movie Maniacs 6 (I think) deluxe box set. He used to dive under the bed hoping to catch the monsters before they got away.
