Personally, (1) I didn't like his disingenuous smiles, (2) the way he pandered and felt entitled the Evangelical vote yet failed to tithe (there's also his harsh stance on immigration which is very unchristian), (3) the way he was practically brown-nosing Trump and failed to call him out last year, when he was insulting Fiorina's face and ripping into Carson as being pathological. For someone who had a solid reputation of calling out the flaws of their own party, I'd expected more.
For now, I just wonder if he'll be supporting Trump at the convention, despite all of the personal insults that came his way the last several months. Trump called him "Lyin' Ted" again just last week.
I guess my problems with him are superficial at best. On paper, he's an ideal Conservative candidate. But, he's just not very likable...
