Saw it yesterday morning in 3D. Can't wait to see it in 2D. Im now getting the Hot Toys figures.

Well to be fair, it is an American made movie from an American comic company. If it was an Australian movie being released in other country first, wouldn't you be a little peeved? And by a whole two weeks? Thats a long time to stick it to us.

Not really, as long as it comes to the country eventually I'm not too fussed.

Nope. There are plenty of other people on here who will give you an opinion from Australia. I avoided reviews, trailers etc prior to seeing this as I know if I go into a movie after reading everywhere that it is awesome I then get my hopes up and ultimately am disappointed. Im seeing it again within 48 hours so you can interpret that anyway you like.
In regards to Australia getting it first, I am not aware of us EVER getting a movie released first and I do have total sympathy for everyone else. Its good to be Australian.

the only link i can think of to this being shown in OZ first is Chris Hemsworth...other than that the Earth should really play major films simultaneously ala ROTS,HP etc etc.

hahah in the Aussie version the clip at the end involves 2 characters and.......well that is all i will say
The movie is indeed awesome.Portman and Hemsworth have great chemistry as was previously mentioned.Was great to see her act,unlike in AOTC where she seemed wooden with Anakin,in this movie,she was actually great to watch...and easy on the eye,lol.
All the cast was pretty good,of course Anthony Hopkins was brilliant,Tom Hiddleston played Loki as a mesmerizing character that you just wished had more screen time.
Heimdall was just bad ass in every scene he was in.
The warriors 3 were pretty cool and made for good comedic relief.
Sif was ok too.easy to watch
A lot of great action scenes,too many to mention for the risk of spoiling,and also a lot of great acting scenes,particularly Odin and Thor,Thor and Loki,Thor and Jane Foster,Frost giant leader and Thor etc etc...
Special effects and set costumes and design were pretty spectacular,Asgard itself was a standout!!
I really cannot say more than this,other than i thoroughly enjoyed it,it took me away from reality for 2 hrs,and in 3D on a massive cinema screen i really reccommend it and will definately go see it again
