DX Jack Sparrow's hair is obviously a different style, but a flexible material for a sculpted hair piece might be an option.

It's the coarseness of detail that bugs me. It works on men, but I think it brings a female portrait down.

I have no preference, ultimately. Whichever looks best will make me happy.

Sculpted is the way to go, if just for consistency. Some of the male characters sport hair that isn't much shorter than Daeny. Besides, her unofficial motto is "If I look back, I am lost."

She's looking over her left shoulder in the famous "Dracarys" scene, so they do a second portrait based on that (if facing forward, her hair would simply appear windblown).

I think with the braided style, sculpted could work as long as it was cast in a flexible PVC. Rooted would have a good chance of looking nice in that style as well, though.

That's statue-collecting talk friend, and this is a doll forum. ;)

I love my dollies but "real" hair looks like ass. I don't like any of HTs efforts, especially that horrid Catwoman figure. The only times I've ever liked the real hair treatment is when there is a mix of sculpted and haired, but only if it's done very well and is blended perfectly. Dany would looke best with here hair pulled back sculpted, for me.

Anyway, OSR recently had an interview with someone from threezero. This is what they had to say about GoT.

About the Game of the thrones, Ned Stark is supposedly the next figure but still need approval, that is the reason of the delays, they also plan on making Jon Snow, the wolves, and Daenerys Targaryen.

The one thing that threw me off was wolves, as in plural. I wonder if OSR referred this information correctly, because it would be stupid to release all the wolves without it's corresponding human character. And besides that, no one really gives a **** about the wolves with the exception of Ghost. I'm hoping, thinking, they meant just Ghost to come along with Jon Snow.

I think Dany's hairstyle could work sculpted, but it would need to be a soft material - she needs to be able to look up.

As for "wolves" - Rob and Bran would both need wolves to be complete, although not as important as Ghost.

Hodor and Reek 2 pack!!! That's a seller! " Big **** and No ****"!

If we do see some wolves. I hope they are able to hide some articulation in the body sculpt. The turn off to Hot Toys Tracker Hound was it was a statue piece.

So now the debate - real fur on the wolves?

That it would! I'll definatly entertain the idea of real fur wolves. I would like the straw like, stiff hair as opposed to wild flowing fuzz.
**** man, that's a tough question... I like the hair used on Grizzloe in the MOtU classic figure. But, doll hair is a pain. Have there been real fur 1/6 animals done before?

It's unlikely that real fur will ever find its way onto any mass produced toy, even those in 3Zero's edition size - I'm talking about something made from a real pelt here. And that's the whole issue, being able to get the same realism from some form of polymer with the kinds of manufacturing and assembly constraints necessary to keep the prices reasonable. "At any price" I'm positive it can be done, but at accessory prices, I'm not so sure.
