I think it looks pretty cool so far......I can't wait to see more. :)

Where are you guys hearing that after this figure and the next one that SS won't do anymore Indy figures? Has that been officially announced somewhere?

I can understand why the Hasbro stuff tanked and that's mainly due to them flooding the shelves with the same figures and not giving us any new ones....

That being said I was under the impression the SS Indy line was selling pretty well?

I'd love to see them make Sallah, Willie, Elsa ,Mola Ram , Henry Sr , Marion and Shortround.....

OK, I'll chime in...

Yes, I think the likeness is off, much like Belloq is...but I'm hoping its just their preview pic which is generally misleading.

Doesn't look like him (looks a bit Tonnerish and even the glasses are way off) but it definitely has a high cool factor.

These arent mass market collectibles though...kids probably wont get this guy. If Hasbro was a niche toy market, im sure they'd do the Nazi stuff.

Yeah, we should also be glad that Indy didn't come with a holstered walkie-talkie. ;)

You know, I just watched ET the other day after, I don't know, many years... and that whole walkie thing is just so ridiculous. I mean, you can see their hands are in the position for holding guns, even have trigger fingers. :lol

No, it's because I just saw that they screwed up the PF Indy the same way that they screwed up the 12". Way to go Sideshow/LFL. :banghead

Now that the PF is changed I definitely think it's LFL with their "idealized" B.S. again.

A-holes.

Maybe it's the paint job but the first thing I thought of after seeing the Toht pic was...

I don't get to post this that often, so excuse my indulgence... but here's my Villains from RAIDERS that I started in 2000 and did some final upgrades in 2005. Two now have official representation. My Dietrich will have to do.

This set has found memories for me. My old kitchen too. It will be fun to compare my little efforts to the SS ones now.

I did see they added those "bolts" on the top and bottom of the zipper flap. What for?

Because they are freaking morons who will ask for changes to the Indy figures to make them less accurate, but say nothing about inaccurate Clone Trooper helmets.

I wish I could get away with being as inept at my job as whoever makes these decisions at LFL Licensing.

Wow, those glasses ARE way off. Not even the right color. Do they even look at these things?

Still very excited for this, of course... but I hope they tweak some things before production begins.

Am I the only one that thinks it doesn't really look like him? Maybe its the eyes? I hope they can change by the time it gets on the production line.

Also isn't that Indy's hat he's wearing? :lol :whip joking aside if he comes with a melting face I'm in and will more than likely have that head sculpt on him :D

Your Toht actually has a closer likeness. They look cool.

While I'm not impressed (I know you know!) I have to admit that a melted-face head will provoke a purchase.

I'll make a Simple Jack figure with the original sculpt, or something...

I think our problem is to expect Hot Toys quality.

But for a Sideshow figure, although the likeness is not 100%, he still looks great.

And this is only the prototype so improvements are to be expected, not?

The melting face is a great idea, but would prefer to display him with his raised burned hand and regular face (one with a sardonic smile like the real one)

Once again, I find myself to be happy that I am not a slave to the desire to have the figure look exactly like the actor. This one is another awesome representation of the character! I am very much looking forward to getting this figure!
