New poster

A horribly made poster with shots from the trailer on it. Damn after raimi spidey days every poster sony ever put out has been ****

I'm looking forward to the advanced trashing this will be getting in the reviews.. Both the Critics & the audiences.... :lol Sorry Tom hardy fans, he isn't "The Schit".. He looks as laughable in this as he was as Bane.

I don't know who has the worse ideas about how to make a Comic based cinematic shared universe. Sony or WB (who owns and ruins their own properties!!). They should get together and do a crossover with Spidey villains and DC villains. A Villain Verse. We can see Black Cat fight Cheeta, and Kingpin fight Lex Luthor. Tom Hardy can play both Eddie Brock as Venom and Bane and fight himself. The world will be astounded with the greatest and grittiest comic movies ever!!!

I’ll give it to Sony . Atleast they try to embrace there characters but they just suck at story and execution and get blinded by greed. They would rather make a universe of c list marvel villains like morbius instead of just letting marvel make them money

I love Hardys Bane.

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

:slap .... :lol

That voice!!! People make fun of Christian Bale grunting as Batman.. I don't know WTF Hardy was doing with his Bane voice. The only research he could've done was watch Batman TAS. That was the proper Bane. Too bad the movie version was so off the mark to who/what the character actually is..

Wouldn't making him juice up with the Venom like he does in the comics be a little too cartoony for the Nolanverse? I'm personally glad they didn't go with that, especially after B&R. :monkey4

His voice was funny but I liked it. Leagues better than the autistic New Yorker accent that he's using in this film anyway.

Depends how they would've had Bane juice up. Scarecrow used psychotropic drugs on people and that worked. Venom was basically a super steroid with instant results. No reason why Bane injecting himself with a steroid type substance that instantly enhanced his strength is unbelievable. He didn't need to grow and have veins popping out to understand he was getting stronger. Plus Hardy is not a big guy. Bane should've been physically imposing. Much larger than Bale was. Bale is 6', while Hardy is 5'9". So batman actually had a good 3" on Bane in height... They should've cast someone 6 foot+ and have a bigger build than Hardy was sporting. And his accent could've just been Hispanic. Bane was born in a South American prison, just like the movie illustrated. But I don't know what that accent Hardy created was...

His accent does seem to be pretty bad in this too. I'm from NY and this doesn't sound like anyone I've ever known.

They explained that his accent was suppose to be an amalgam of eastern Europe. Which I think he nailed.

The Nolanverse was designed to be real. Having him take a drug that amped him up physically would have been unreal since no such drug exists. Counter to what you may have heard, its not real that people can suddenly gain superhero strength due to adrenaline or PCP.

His mask was made to keep him from feeling pain. Which is very real, as the opioid epidemic proves. Its also why he loses to BM after it gets destroyed in the fight. All the pain comes back to him in a flash.

I actually hate the original Bane, he is my least favorite comic character in DC. So the change was welcome. Personally I was way more upset with the design of the Scarecrow. Who was not creepy or scarey in any way.

In Hardy's words "I looked at original Latin … sort of Romany Gypsy. And there was a character, Bartley Gorman … the bare-knuckle fighter, and that's where the accent comes from that I use in the film." He was Irish. Here you go :

And thanks for pointing out that no such drug exists that can amp people up and give them superhero strength... Could've sworn I learned it was possible. I thought you could just get it from your Dr. along with the Scarecrow's fear gas. I bought some of that yesterday at Walgreens. Good schitt. :wink1:

The Nolanverse tried to be more grounded. Well, Batman isn't very grounded. And many of his gadgets aren't too realistic either.

I'm not really much of a Bane fan either. But he's much more in the comics and even in Batman TAS than he is here. He's nothing more than Tali'as ***** in TDKR.

I guess like TLJ, I've hit a nerve with a TDKR fan. It's all good. We like what we like. At least we agree this Venom movie looks like a$$... :duff

Best way to do Bane would be as a ripped luchador, with his Knightfall look.
