Atleast my dislike for them is valid. If fox made a bunch of xmen films that sucked three times straight and planned a spinoff movie of will I am 's character from Origins than you'd be pretty pissed to. Sorry I love a character and want what's best for him and tired of seeing him being treated like garbage.

I even understand your hate for marvel it's just that you shove it down everyones throats in each post you make.

Scrap Venom and just do a Carnage film. There, problem solved. I mean, if you want to make a "sci-fi horror film" without Spider-Man, who are you gonna choose: The psychopathic killer who talks to interdimensional space-gods, or the goofy guy who tries to do good but goes berserk when around Spider-Man? I think the choice is rather obvious...

I agree with both points here. Carnage is the way to go with an R-rated film. However, they wouldn't really be able to do the story right without doing Venom first. I think the best idea is to do Carnage first, and then do the Venom film as a prequel or something like that. It still wouldn't resolve the issue of doing Venom without Spider-Man though.

Yeah, but you also can't do a Venom film without introducing Spider-Man and the Symbiote first. Hell, it's how the symbiote got the spider powers. Just allude to Venom the same way you'd allude to Spider-Man in a Venom flick.

*Can do a Venom movie and show an animated intro 'cause people remember SM3, which has nothing to do with this flick.

These two don't jive. If they don't care about doing the Symbiote Saga, it shouldn't matter if Venom or Carnage is first. Hell, the whole reason Carnage exists is because the writer wanted Venom to become a monster, but Marvel didn't want to lose their cool-looking monster-guy, so he created Cletus. His whole relationship with Venom was that they were in the same cell, and a bit of Symbiote got into Cletus' arm.

Just do a Carnage movie, allude to Venom, have Carnage prevail and kill all the heroes, and in the final shot have Venom read this on a newspaper and come gunning for Cletus. There, done and done. Sony gets their horror sci-fi flick and then they can do a proper Venom film with Carnage as the antagonist this time.

People don't realize that this could be alot like Logan in that the film can take place long after the events that transpired when Eddie first encountered the Symbiote and battled Spidey.

The Spider-Man of this universe could be well into his 40s and Venom's been around for a decade.
