Re: Transformers 3 Announced For 2011

Don't need no stinkin' reboot.

Transformers: Revenge of the Giant Robot Moon.

Set 20-30 years in the future -- Earth has become an advanced civilization which lives with Autobots as one. Adult Sam is the logistics head of a new space program where humans and Transformers aim to build space colonies to aid with the growing population. Sam's teenage daughter, Mikarly, dates a young engineer working on Sam's team. Old Lennox is a general and head of the UN military forces. The bitter Decepticons still attack Earth from time to time, but are mostly hiding on other planets and asteroids in our solar system.

That would be the setting. The movie itself would be about how the Decepticons seem to think they have found another planet like Cybertron, at the edge of our system. Some of the more liberal Decepticons approach Optimus for help, and feeling somewhat guilty over his responsibility in killing Megatron and destroying Cybertron, he agrees to help put together a human and Autobot team investigate this, and makes a truce with the Decepticons.

The investigation team finds a dead machine planet, and investigates it like Event Horizon, only to end up waking Unicron and everyone gets killed. By eating the team, Unicron learns the location of Earth, and starts moving towards it. Optimus, Sam, and Lennox must prepare Earth for the most deadly invasion ever. Meanwhile an insane Decepticon cult following the call of Unicron, breaks into Megatron's tomb to recover his body, so he can be revived as... Galvatron.

Sam and Mikarly's engineer boyfriend develop an artificial Matrix-of-Leadership which acts as a bomb to destroy Unicron. Since no one else knows how to actually use it, the engineer boyfriend has to sacrifice himself to go into the heart of Unicron at the end to save humanity. At the last moment Sam switches places with him and locks himself in the one-way shuttle, because he realizes that his daughter really loves the guy. Aerosmith will compose a new original song for the movie's climax.

Well since it's Transformers you'd have to replace Aerosmith with Linkin Park but I think you've cracked the code! :hi5:

Re: Transformers 3 Announced For 2011

:lol I hear serious bloodthirsty screams from many fanbases, Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, tis nothing new.

See, I hear TF screaming everywhere....even in threads, or places that have jack all to do with the series...:rotfl

And AvP-R is the worst movie ever made by humans.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced For 2011

Some people I know will defend those actors and characters and tell you that they are totally vital to the movie....believe it or not.
They werent. I dont know who you've been talking too...but the only character that was important , sans Shia, was Dylan. And I love Simmons and Dutch. Important? Maybe. Maybe not...but awesome IMO.

Ken was...slightly important, but the character could, and should've been anyone else.

Glad he got chucked out of a window.

Revenge of the Fallen is a better film. No one is going to agree with you.

AvP-R is worthless trash. There is not one cool, or interesting scene in the movie.

Atleast Revenge has that ONE badass forest scene. That scene is gold.

My mom would.

Not true, the scene where everything is blown to dust was rather enjoyable.

... Twas okay...

Re: Transformers 3 Announced For 2011

Just got back from it. Some of that action was ridiculous...in a good way. One thing about these movies is, the head bad guy never gets a very good battle. Oh well.

Bad guys in general never seem to get a good battle anymore.

I would be totally ok with this.

Statham, nuff said!

Re: Transformers 3 Announced For 2011

This is awesome.

Don Murphy (producer on trilogy):

"What happens next? Certainly not a reboot. We haven't lost the Transformers. They didn't grow up or become expensive like Toby Maguire. I don't know what happens next. I'm pretty sure there will be a second trilogy. I am pretty sure it will kick ass. And I am pretty sure some of you will hate it."

Truer words have never been spoken about Transformers movies. :lol
