Re: Transformers 3 Announced For 2011

So i finally saw the film last night... Unfortunately I overwhelmed my expectations. I was hoping for a better film than the second with better fights... The action in the second film was awesome. But this one was too much story/buildup for the ending which never really hit the mark. But I did enjoy it overall but I was expecting more. But Sentinel Prime being the villain of the film was totally unexpected for me... poor Iron-Hide :(

But I am now completely done with 3D... I blame the cinema framerate standard and the lack of Screen brightness to compensate the dark lenses of the glasses. I'm done until I hear better tech as be developed.

Also... Im not sure what I want in terms of reboot, prequel or 4th film. But I do think this Bayformers Universe has become tired and needs fresh creative eye brought to the film. One with confidence in its composition FX shots to not have the Machines 2cm away from the camera lens.

Revenge of the Fallen is a better film. No one is going to agree with you.

AvP-R is worthless trash. There is not one cool, or interesting scene in the movie.

Atleast Revenge has that ONE badass forest scene. That scene is gold.

Id even agree with that, Gi Joe ROC is the worst movie ever put to film, actually anything with Channing Tatum

Thanks for spoiler tags! Dmnit

Movie's been out for over a week... If you haven't seen it yet you shouldn't be in this thread. Spoiler tags are fine the first weekend but now there's legitimate discussion about the movie and there's no way to
have that
without
censoring
every third
word.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced For 2011

Saw this last night in 3D. A mixed bag at best.

The scenes where Bumblebee transforms and ejects Sam on the freeway, Optimus flying through the city, and the descent of the guys in the flying suits were eye poppingly awesome.

Rosie was terrible, the non-action humor subplots felt forced, and the final battle was too long for not having a real rhythm and flow. I can't ever recall in my life watching a no holds barred knock down drag out effects bonanza final battle in a movie and...checking my watch (which I literally did about halfway through the finale.)

The second (or was it the third?) time Optimus entered the fray and was spinning around slicing everyone up I was pretty much numb to the whole proceedings. I realized that it looked cool and was marginally exciting but I just couldn't get past how long the whole damn affair was.

I'd rate the films:

TF: 8/10
TF2: 4/10
TF3: 5.5/10

At least they actually had a reason for all fighting in the city this time.

Still like the first one better. The decepticon's seemed like more of a threat.

I see the hole series as one movie to for me is a 9/10 for the hole series.
