The theater was packed today where I was which I haven't seen for a long time for a matinee. Anyway, the buzz from the people coming out is how much they liked or loved it.

I don't understand why people have to hate on a movie that they don't like so much. I didn't care that much for UP like so many others did, but I'm not gonna go on and on about it. It's not like you're gonna change anyone's mind!

I think it's just people venting their frustration at something that was so anticipated. Waiting years for a movie to come out and then being let down by it is a real bummer. That's the way it was for me with Hellboy 2. I'm sure people got tired of hearing me hate on that one, but I had to get it out.

The show we went to yesterday was packed at Noon and everyone in the theater cheered when the credits rolled.

Maybe you should go all 'Irish Jedi' in the UP thread!:D

About Jetfire, I think he was pretty baddass in a funny way. I knew the G1 Jetfire which he looks cool but he was a freakin Scientist not a warrior like the Legendary Jetfire in ROTF.

I liked Hugo Weaving's voice work on Megatron a lot more this time around since he has more (and better) lines. Speaking of Hugo Weaving, where the hell is he? One of my favorite actors and I haven't seen him in noteworthy film in a while.

Ween, we NEED those people who disagree. Without them the discussion is boring.

You either get..."OMG SO AWSUM" "Ya, Agreeedd lol!"

Or "Wow...that movie sucked balls." "I totally agree. Hated it."

Zzzzzzz....I like the "Wow...that movie rocked. Because...." and "I disagree, I hated it because...."

Wowsers, I saw this movie tonight!
Superb, better than the first, an absolute metallic smackdown, a summer 'event' movie. To think it all started with the tame Hasbro toys and a vivid but ultimately dire cartoon series.

Bring on part 3, but only if it's even better!

D

I saw the movie for the second time tonite !

Got to see more detail.

Man !! I still cant belive how amazing Optimus looked with jetfire.

Bring on PART 3 !!!

Well, blow me down! ;) :lol

If it weren't for STAR TREK, UP!, DRAG ME TO HELL and THE HANGOVER this Summer would be a total bust so far.

TF2 is setting box office records and you consider it a bust.....then agian you thought watchmen :horror was good. :lol

I think some of the expectations, with a movie like this, sometimes gets too high. People who are expecting to witness some deep, philisophical, or spiritual meaning to the story will be disappointed. You just won't get that with a Transformers movie.

We all have to remember that it's meant to be a fun action movie, with great special effects. I saw it at IMAX, and was greatly entertained.

Again with the box office as sole standard.

And it's not my problem if you can't get something like WATCHMEN and yet TRANSFORMERS rocks your world. In fact, it's really just par for the course. Perhaps you can mull it all over when eating your next McDonald's Value Meal.

Actually, the movie's tied into Burger King-- so it'd be the Whopper. :monkey3

The ill Jedi said:
I've seen it twice and still gonna see it in IMAX.

Damn you... There's no IMAX near me. :banghead

Enjoy.
