Agree to disagree guys-- let's not get personal. I liked Transformers: ROTF... I also liked Watchmen... It is possible.

I think some of the expectations, with a movie like this, sometimes gets too high. People who are expecting to witness some deep, philisophical, or spiritual meaning to the story will be disappointed. You just won't get that with a Transformers movie.

Yeah, something tells me that if they tried to go all philisophical, it would turn for the worst.

We all have to remember that it's meant to be a fun action movie, with great special effects. I saw it at IMAX, and was greatly entertained.

My expectations were to love it as much as the first. I wouldn't say that's out of line or too high. I saw the first one 7 times in the theater, one in IMAX. I knew what to expect with ROTF, a fun ride with humor and great action scenes. I didn't expect nor want TDK or Watchmen, just a fun movie. ROTF just bored me is all. No focus at all to the plot, poor dialogue and 5 year old humor. The action in ROTF also seemed lazy to me except the battle in the forest with Prime getting all badass :rock

I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, I wish I liked this movie. There's nothing more I love than to have fun at the movies. I'm seeing it one more time with a friend who's fiance hasn't let him see it yet. I'm really hoping I enjoy it this time.

On a positive note, I think the movie Starstream is pretty great. And I dig the symmetry that the guy doing his voice also did Cobra Commander in G.I. JOE: RESOLUTE. He's certainly no Chris Latta, but he's done an admirable job all-around.

For me it's been:

1. Star Trek
2. Transformers
3. Up
4. The Taking of Pelham 123
5. Terminator: Salvation
6. Wolverine

Totally forgot about The Hangover!!!

New list...

1. Star Trek
2. The Hangover
3. Transformers
4. Up
5. The Taking of Pelham 123
6. Terminator: Salvation
7. Wolverine

Watched and want to give it a second viewing but whats with Megatron?

First Megatron lands on earth and falls through some ice and gets frozen then after about an hour of being alive agian gets destroyed and dropped to the deepest place on earth, next he get revived and it turns out he aint even top dog and working for Fallen like vader to Sidious and then he becomes a big time coward gets replused by some human fire and runs away, what a bad-ass.

I never knew that the famous aircraft grave yard was behind the Smithsonian, desert in the east coast. What was MB thinking, thought i was going to get to see an awesome battle in the aircraft grave yad with plane turing into robots and some sort of cool robot air battle.

I thought this movie was 'Ok'. Imo, it was too much of everything. too over the top on things where you really don't have time to appreciate what just happened.

and it severely annoys the ^^^^ out of me when directors blur action/fight sequences. when the robots are fighting, you can't hardly tell where or what is going on. All you see is *blur* and then at the end it slows down so you can see someone get a punch in, or rip a head off, etc. add to that, the camera being so zoomed in that you're watching the shoulders of the robots as they fight. lol.

Oh man, #5 for Pelham? I thought for sure most people here would have found that movie to be horrible. I laughed out of pity for that movie...it was so bad to me. It may even be worse to me than Knowing or The day the earth stood still....ugh...
