The headsculpts would have looked great if they made them look like real people. Instead they made them look like cartoon people, and that makes them look like toys. Even the weapons look that way.

I wish someone could make Jin & Mugen figures I was happy with.

I was really thinking that Triad were going to charge $90 for these.

Im really impressed with the figure and the new Otaku will be very cool no doubt, will probalie get them.

Received my 3 female otakus yesterday and there freaking amazing, expecting more great things from triad but not at the $120 price tag i hope.

But every company so far has increased the price of their figurs, so why not Triad. I certainly would've liked a lesser price tag, but unfortuantely, that won't happen.:monkey2

i bought a lot of medicom figures and i think the $120 price is a bargain.

the champloo figures have moveable eyes, a new body, and full metal weapons. medicom figs don't have any of these features and are at the $150-160 range

Yeah i know, i was just having a whine and the price of the DXF is the same and not even a license.

After a 10 minute think, these are really awesome and will be getting them. The otaku is amaxing body an this is a 2.0 anime style which will have transulant skin tone, movable eye, metal weapon.... what not to like.

A great thing is these will be in scale with my HT Appleseed figures.

I do have high hopes for Triad Toys, for the fans by the fans.

Ok, while I am not a die-hard Triad fanboy(like some people. You know who he is. Shh! Don't say his name! You'll only summon him like some dark, malevolent spirit!), I have to say I'm surprised. Triad has produced a product that sculpt-wise is on par with Medicom, accessories-wise surpasses them and features a new body type and movable eyes all for less then Medicom charges, and yet this isn't good enough? So what would be 'good enough'?

They look great but I do think the price is a little too high for what you get. I think they should be about $30 less.

I think they look great. And didn't anyone notice that the heads feature 360 degree rotatable eyes? That adds a lot of character. I thought only Enterbay did that.

The thing is, at $120, I'd only want one of them (Mugen), but they look best in a group, so with Jin and Fuu, it's gonna be $300+

Too much.

I saw these figures last night and thought they looked great, but was brought down by the price of them. But then I think these are licensed figures makes it a little less bothersome, especially since the Fullmetal Alchemist Medicom figures go for more then that.

Still trying to decide if I wanna spend the cash on the fig's, but I think Ill go for it. Fuu is coming out but taking longer cause of her body being smaller then their current bod's.

ummm... they are anime characters. and nobody complains about the high prices of Appleseed figures. :duh

I should have been more clear. I don't expect them to look like real humans or anything, but the detail on the Appleseed figures is worth $150. They don't look like toys. These do look like toys to me. Simple as that.

I think they're cool figures. I just don't think they're cool enough to pay that much. They look less realistic than the cartoon characters do.

How's this any worse than medicom or HT prices? It's still cheaper and Triad has great quality when comes to accessories and clothing. Not to mention the sculpts look great.

My one and only experience with them was horrible. The Enforcer set was terribly done, the lack of quality was evident. Not to mention, terrible terrible customer service.

Congrats to Triad for this license! :rock

Nash, I had great CS for my orders so far. But yeah, the Enforcer had too-hard-hands! And the pistols didn't fit in them. (broke a part on one of mine trying to get it in his hand)
Louie knows that. Seems he has been having trouble getting what he wants, standard-wise, from the manufacturers in China or wherever. Hopefully, the newer stuff will be better grade.

I have had a lot of issues myself with Triad's customer service, BUT the Enforcer set is a very bad example of their quality as it was the very first thing the produced. They have moved up dramatically in quality since then.

Also, I think people need to start to wake up when it comes to the cost of toys. Anything made of plastic and anything shipped (especially things shipped in low quantity) is going up in price. Long LONG gone are the days of a 1/6 figure costing $30. Sideshow's recent figures have been in the $90-120 range, HT's Batman figures are almost $200 each, Takara has been close to $200 for most of their figures for awhile, and Medicom is consistently putting things out in the $150-200 range.

Triad is a much, much smaller company than any of these guys. Call me crazy but in the current financial climate $120 for a low run figure like this is approaching a deal.

edit: Oh and I like these, I just wish the sculpts weren't as clean, Mugen in particular isn't gruff enough. The custom posted a few pages back is a better example of how he should look. All the same, I like them quiet a lot and who knows, a lot could change in 4 months.
