I agree, they were certainly showing Godric as a Christ figure... wonder if he'll sacrifice himself (land on the grenade so to speak) to prevent the rest of the group being killed in the explosion?

Kind of hope that doesn't happen though as I'm enjoying his character.

Yea, when they showed Godric in the church, they aimed up towards the ceiling and he was standing RIGHT where a Crucified Jesus would be normally in a catholic church. I though it was hilarious. I don't really want him to die, I want to see him ^^^^ stuff up.

Just think, he's only 2,000 years old and he's only the Sheriff of Texas. I'm wonder if there are like Rulers of North America or anything like that. Would be interesting to see a full Vampire hierarchy.

On a side note, the Vampire that made Bill turn Jessica at the end of the first season, was he a Sheriff?

They make note of that in one episode actually. THey say he could be King of a territory if he wanted to but he chooses to be a Sheriff because he doesnt want to rule. They made it sound like his age was impressive even by vampire standards.

Also, I think I recall them speaking about "King of Texas" or something like that. So maybe each state has a king? But it didnt sound like there was just one king or queen rulling over the entire country or continent.

And no the vamp that made Bill turn Jessica was not a Sheriff. I think he was a Judge (not a king). The Sheriff identifies a "crime" and then takes the offender to "court". Seems to be a similar set up to normal government. Also, Louisiana is ruled by a Queen...can't remember her name. She was mentioned towards the begining of season 1 when bill attacked those three vampires in thier home.

Actually Erik is 2000 years old and Godric is 4000 years old. They mention it when they show Erik getting turned.

I am pretty sure Eric is 1000 and Godric is a little over 2000. Eric said at one point "In my 1000 years I thought I had seen everything..."

That sounds about right, even though I'm not 100% sure. Apparently, in the books, Godric wanted to commit suicide by letting himself burn up from the Sun because he's ashamed of what he has done as a vampire.......

As further proof, Eric was most definately a viking. Vikings were a norse civilization that existed between 900 AD and 1200 AD. Which would mean Eric has to be around 1000 years old..

Rewatched last night's episode. Godric seems to not want to drink blood. He says that he doesn't require it too much, which could be an outright lie. Maybe he doesn't want to feed on anyone; so he'll get weaker and weaker until he dies???

I wonder who is going to be injured by that bomb. I think the best line of the episode was

"i could snap you like a twig"

it made me jump out of my seat, I really hope we get to see Godric being a BA

Aside from the Vampire story which has been great, I have to say, I'm sick of Maryann. I liked her character at first but shes just getting a bit annoying. I was hoping Sam and Andy were gonna team up and crack some heads, especially Andy, what a great character.

I'm tired of the Maryann story-line too. When are Tara and Eggs going to put 2 and 2 together?

That Hunter's souffle did look good. :drool

From the preview, it looks like half the towns locked up next episode. I don't think it's going to be able to go on much longer, she's becoming too reckless(maryann). I just hope Andy gets a shot in on her whatever happens, poor guy.

Made me want cherry cheese cake.

"They say I sodomized a pine tree." :lol

Another great line- "I guess I've been to Heaven. I was inside your wife."

Jason is such a well written character. I loved the scene between him and Bill. And how could you not laugh when he asked Sarah what Judas did to her... :lol

Yea I'd actually go so far as to say he's my favorite character after this season. With Eric and Bill as close seconds. I also really like Andy, Jessica, and Bill's maker.

"I dunno what you heard... but those were screams of pleasure...right?"

I was just watching Tv, and a Viagra commercial came on. The guy with Erectial Dysfunction riding a motorcycle was the same guy who was Reverand Newlander's big bodyguard. The guy that tryed to kill Jason.

Found it,
