I too am getting sick of MaryAnne. I never really liked her even from the beginnings. But who I WANT to see more of is Godric. Take out MaryAnne and add more Godric :lecture:lecture:lecture

Rewatched last night's episode. Godric seems to not want to drink blood. He says that he doesn't require it too much, which could be an outright lie. Maybe he doesn't want to feed on anyone; so he'll get weaker and weaker until he dies???

In the books, Charlaine goes with the same sort of mythology as Anne Rice, in that as vamps age, they require less blood. His statement makes sense in that context.

I'm all for getting rid of the maenyad (or however you spell what Mary Ann is) soon too. That story line has done nothing for me.

BTW, I'm a little disappointed in how Sookie got out of the FotS, as opposed to what happened in the books. Those that have read them will know that it was when some interesting new characters got added to the mix, and it looks like the show isn't going there...yet.

I am interested in reading the books. What is the title of the first book?

Does the help come from the
werewolves or werepanthers????

From your spoiler I can tell you that they are talking about the former more and more so I think they will be introduced but probably not until next season at this point.
Does anyone know how many episodes are left? Never mind we have 4 episodes left.

I don't want to say too much right now since it just got over, but...wow. The scene between Eric and Godric and then Sookie was one of the best of the season.

I wish I had HBO. :( Just watched season 1 on DVD and LOVE IT!!! Can't wait for season 2 to come out....I shouldn't be reading this thread. :lol

I agree, it was a great scene, lots of emotion.

On a side note, I want Maryann DEAD, NOW!!!:monkey4

Well, I hope we see her dead too, but that wasn't the case in the books. She got what she wanted (and no, it wasn't Sam) and left. Because what she wants this time is Sam, and there's no way Sam is going anywhere, I suspect she'll be defeated/killed and run out of town. I'm hoping it's Sookie who does the final deed, whatever it is. Remember that they made a big deal about how she can't control supes. She'd know she can't control Vamps of course...but she doesn't know Sookie is 'special', and therefore Sookie might have the element of surprise on her side.

And I loved the whole Sam/fly thing. Nothing like being a fly on the wall!

Sign up for HBO with your cable company and get caught up with the show and since there is only 3 eps left then you can cancel after 30 days before your next bill and get credit.

I thought this was the weakest episode yet. I guess they had to have one eventually but this one seemed slow and drawn out.

Really? I thought this was one of the best-if not thee best-ep this season thus far. But to each his own.:duff

I was extremely disappointed in what they did with Godrics character. I wasn't left with a "I can't wait till next week" moment. Maryanne is played out already so her asking where Sam was was expected and boring. I did like the fact that Lafayette snatched Tara and ran. Now they know that Maryanne is some sort of devil.
I knew Lafayette was going to flip when he saw Tara's face though. That was such a realistic reaction it seemed like they were truly related.

Yeah and Lafayette can fight!:lol That dude whooped Eggs' ass and I really wasn't expecting that.:lol

Oh I fully expected that. If you think about it, living where he lives and being gay, he had to know how to fight. Lafayette kicked Jason's ass last season if you remember.

Yeah and them 3 rednecks who were making fun of him in Merlotte's and he beat all 3 of them up. But Eggs was posessed!:lol I thought Eggs was gonna whoop him and Lafayette like back flipped him, and stomped him. I was laughing.:lol

Lafayette was an ass-kicker in season one as well though... but he did seem to handle Eggs w/little to know problem. The scene were he snatches up Tara and runs out was great :lol

The wife was crying at the end of this episode... Eric's reaction was particularly moving, especially when he was speaking in his native tongue.
