I wonder if having some of Eric's blood in him made Lafayette stronger.
It's possible, but Lafayette seems like a dude that already knew how to scrap.

Lafayette was an ass-kicker in season one as well though... but he did seem to handle Eggs w/little to know problem. The scene were he snatches up Tara and runs out was great :lol

The wife was crying at the end of this episode... Eric's reaction was particularly moving, especially when he was speaking in his native tongue.
The 'Tara Snatch' scene was great and I'm glad he whooped Egg's ass! :rock

The final scene was very touching, never thought I'd see Eric that way.

That is like taking V. it only lasts a little while. That is why sookie is so weak. She has drank pints of Bills blood but she isn't any stronger. Lafayette is just a badass brawler. I wonder if Eggs will stick around after Maryanne is gone?

Yup, Lafayette is a bad ass.

Eggs is just Maryann's pawn, she goes he goes I think.

In the books, Charlaine goes with the same sort of mythology as Anne Rice, in that as vamps age, they require less blood. His statement makes sense in that context.

I'm all for getting rid of the maenyad (or however you spell what Mary Ann is) soon too. That story line has done nothing for me.

BTW, I'm a little disappointed in how Sookie got out of the FotS, as opposed to what happened in the books. Those that have read them will know that it was when some interesting new characters got added to the mix, and it looks like the show isn't going there...yet.

They have already stated that they are not really following the books. Because if they did, Lafayette would be dead already, instead of just the voodoo woman.

But yeah, get rid of MaryAnne. Boring! Until maybe next week, when Bill is talking about even he is not powerful enough to stop her!! Could be good??!!

Loved the Eric/Godric line of the show. Seeing that Eric actually has feelings was cool, just expanded his character even more, which is awesome because he has been my favorite character since he was first on the show.

Seeing Eric break down on his knees was a very moving scene. I didnt expect Godric to commit suicide though. I think they need to work on the blood tears, the way they do it with CGI looks a little too fake.

The episode was decent. I was wishing Lafayette would've killed Maryanne to hurry up and end that story arch, it has drug out too long.

So is Sam going to tell Andy whats going on, and maybe he helps kill Mary Ann??

I have one nitpick with Sam's shapeshifting ability. I know we have to suspend belief with it to begin with, but how could he transform his entire mass down to the size of a fly?

It's not a big deal, but I kept thinking about it every time they showed him flying around. :lol

The way I see/think about it, is he can turn into anything smaller than his actual mass. If he were to try to turn into something bigger like say a horse or an elephant, he couldn't do it since there isn't enough mass there to achieve that.

So where does his mass go? Is he a 175 pound fly? :lol

That's where we have to suspend belief my friend. We know that Vampires and Maenads don't really exist, but we don't have a problem with that right? :)

Yeah, I mentioned suspending belief in my initial post. I just found someone shrinking down to a fly a little harder to believe than vampires, telepathy, possession, ect. No big deal. :D

He shifts his body into a supernatural realm and his consciousness remains in our world in the form he chooses. Sam the human is at least 6-7 times more massive than Sam the dog too.

I really feel cheated by Godric - he could have been a great continuing character.

And poor Jessica - nothing worse than an eternal virgin!

Yea, Godric was a character that had great potential down the road. Sad that they just wrote him off like that. BUT, I suppose his death will change Eric's character dramatically.

As for poor Jessica, being an eternal virgin, must be how it's like to be pitu :devil Guess the moral of the story is to have sex early on, so that if you're turned into a vampire, you don't have to worry about it :lol

I think Godric would have been powerful enough to kill Maryann. Maybe the vamp queen who is supposed to make an appearance this season will be the one to take her out. If Godric was 2k years old then the queen has got to be severely ancient.

Age doesn't have anything to do with position. I think the Queen is only 400.

I don't know I think I may have to respectfully disagree with you on that. With vamps the older the vamp the more powerful which is why they are higher up in position. Godric was able to restrain Bill's maker with no trouble and she was around 4 or 500 years old. Erik is more powerful then Bill because he is older.

I was surprised to see Godric take orders from Nan. But that is the power of the media. I wonder if we'll learn more about her in the future.

And how funny was it to see the Newlins bickering during the interview? :lol
