This was a good serie. How are they going to go forward with this beyond one season? I thought the whole point of this show was the flash forwards and back to tell the story. I don't think they can do that in upcoming seasons.

different actors different stories each season.

I feel the opposite. Pitt is one of the greatest actors alive.

Great show but a huge part of what made this show so hyped was that everyone thought you had to read into all of these little details, there were so many layers, etc, etc. Then it turned out all of that stuff was just made up by the internet. Any of those supposed genius little touches and hints weren't hints at all and the internet just made it way more than it was. So if you put a show on a pedestal because you thought there were so many little details that needed to be deciphered, then it turns out that was just something fabricated by the internet, you have to take it off that pedestal. If you want to put it on a pedestal because it had great dialogue, character development, mood, etc then that makes sense.

The writing, acting, and directing made the show intense and psychologically gripping. But all the speculation is what made the show fun. It made me go back during the week wait for the next episode and pick up on details that I may have otherwised missed.

I mean look, Shindler's List is a fantastic movie. But it's not a fun movie.

I agree. MM and WH were amazing. The writing and directing were top notch. The way it was filmed to the tension it created was great. I also watched each episode 3-4 times to try to find anything that could be a clue. Me and my coworkers would talk about possible outcomes and such. I can't remember the last time a show dragged me in and kept a hold of me the whole season like this one did.

It will be hard for the creators to top this.

Yea but the show never meant you to analyze everything. All those details were unanswered, lead to nothing, and weren't clues at all. The internet just turned it into that for some reason. So once you see the ending and realize all of that nonsense was fan created, you have to take the credit away from the show. Everyone just read into everything way to deeply, for no reason. The show wasn't genius in that regard, but that's what people are trying to say made the show genius. If you put the show on a pedestal for something, "omg why does russ have that drawing over his bed!, why did the girls dolls look like that!, its all tied together! maggie's father is involved because he fits the description of the cult!", then it turns out all of that supposed genius never had anything to do with it and you made it all up in your head, you have to take it off that pedestal. If you want to put it on a pedestal for having great acting, dialogue, mood, etc I can agree with that. It's like someone ranting about how genius a painting is, "the artist wants you to think this, but then this part makes you think this, and it is all interconnected but we just haven't figured it out yet!", then the artist is like 'nope it's just a painting of a soup can". Sure you can give credit to the art for making it fun that you thought all of that, but it wasn't genius on the part of the artist because you just created it all in your head. The painting of the soup can could still look amazing though. Just don't make it into more than it is.

I really liked the way Mcconaughey acted with his cigarette, for some reason it really added to the scene. Especially when the two other Detectives were interviewing him.

The cigarette and beers gave him more props to interact with..otherwise we would've just been watching a guy sitting still and talking. Although thats how's Marty's interview scenes were and they were still fantastic.
