Ah, so the torture won't end?
Ah, so the torture won't end?
I meant the torture would reside in my loving the show so much that I would want the figures and said figures would no longer be available, thus, dooming me to an eternal state of limbo wherein I can look, but never touch.
I most definitely will, which means I'll probably keep you updated over the next three days.
Just finished "Seeing Things," and I think this show is a little too smart for the general public. McConaughey's monologues seemed to get made fun of a bit (I remember seeing a parody from "The Soup" with Joel Mchale incoherently rambling), but I think the writing's absolutely brilliant in those moments, and it really makes Rust unlike anyone else I've ever seen on TV. "The hubris it must take to yank a soul out of non-existence and into this...meat." That kind of philosophical insight; maybe it's just because I've had those kinds of thoughts, myself, concerning the world, but he's such a fascinating character. I'll be honest, McConaughey's Rom-Coms are even something of a guilty pleasure for me, so, to think I'd need another reason to love the guy, as an actor; well, if I did, this one would certainly do it.
Harrelson's brilliant, as well. That locker room scene, and the tension present in it...Chooo; it was like the clash of the titans was about to go down.
Yeah, I never got what that Soup parody was poking fun at exactly. Mcconaughey is brilliant as Rust and you're absolutely right. I've never seen a character like his on TV before. The writing blows away almost every other show ive ever seen. Rust's monologues really do resonate with a lot of the feelings I've had about life, love, death but could never hope to express so eloquently,
I couldn't agree more. He may be well on his way to becoming one of my favorite characters I've ever seen on television, and I'm only two episodes in.
That's absolutely insane. I actually tried to this morning, but, since I use my iPhone as my general "Internet connectivity hub," I was getting frustrated by the fact that my ****** service kept switching me to "audio only." That being said, I think that kind of serves as a testament to just how much I loved this show, when I probably exited and restarted the first episode 10 times on a 4" screen, just to get my fix.
Two episodes down, and I'm pretty much fully committed to buying the Blu-Ray.
"If the only thing keeping a person decent is the expectation of a divine reward, then, brother, that person is a piece of ****." God, I'm loving this show. I consider myself relatively spiritual, but, mmmmmm, if that writing isn't a spot on critique of organized religion, I don't know what is.
