But most people in Israel do have darker skin. That is not what they base their suspicions on, and that's why I can't help but look down on the TSA. I know they weren't the security in those first months after 9/11, but they were the low-bid alternative to the morons who thought that appearances were how they could tell who was going to hijack a plane.

Unfortunately for us, it takes a lot of brainpower to sort out how to pick a terrorist out of a crowd. The TSA does not have what it takes, and because we have the TSA, the only conclusion I can come to is that our government has nothing better to offer.

(Also, I don't kill spiders either.)

I will agree with you that TSA is joke. I don't blame the workers for the most part - because they are doing what they are told...but we do need a better system.

And yeah for not killing spiders! :duff

This, just proved that the terrorists are winning. They putted so much fear in us that we are willing to give up so many rights to compromise safety and the funny part is that, the tsa going after the wrong people.

Actually, all this proves is that Americans are complicit sheep.

And just for the record, the only one winning is Charlie Sheen :lecture

I agree that its over the top but it wasn't the agents fault. Its the fault of the government that said she had to pat everyone down. And if the parents didn't like the grope why didn't they go through the metal detector instead?

That's what I was thinking. The only ones who get patted down are the ones who refuse the detector.

As for "groping", we have to pat down little kids here from time to time looking for things they've stolen or whatever, it's far from groping.

I can't read the article here at work, but once again it sounds like something that's blown out of proportion and could've been avoided all together.

Didn't see any groping, and i highly doubt she was drug tested lol.
Don't agree with it though.

I wouldn't put my child in that position to begin with. You know if you don't use the detector, this is what will happen. Maybe the parents wanted this to happen, who knows anymore.

Maybe they weren't interested in exposing their child to those levels of radiation.

Regardless, what brain dead simian would think that little girl was carrying explosives? If that were my daughter (which I do not have) or my ten-year old niece (which I do have) and a stranger were to touch her that invasively, I would be apopleptic. She flew recently, and the thought of that having happened to her makes me violently angry. Her mother flies regularly, so I'm sure she just took the scanning option, and that makes me even angrier.

No reason whatsoever for any of it. At all. None.

:lecture great post

I'm not going to get into a big thing, I didn't watch any video have no desire to.

I'll just say I've been waiting for this to happen since the day the new TSA stuff was instituted and not surprised.

The reason you pat down a child isn't necassarily bombs, believe it or not, there are scummy parents who will put drugs down there pants etc to get them through customs or w.e. It happens.

And then there are the people who also knew this was bound to happen and probably encouraged it in order to start such a lawsuit. I wouldn't be surprised if this is exactly what the parent's wanted, attention. Either way it was only a matter of time.

Another example of damned if you do, damned if you don't. You can't win.

Saw this coming back from Ecuador a couple of years ago.
I'm fairly sure the people with that kid were not the parent's either.

Sick world we live in sometimes.

I guess it depends on what your standards of damnation are.

Well as I say, if you made it known you were firmly against it and would never pat down a child, like say Teemu worked for TSA, you could just chalk your baby's diaper full of cocaine, and get in his line everytime.

Patting down children randomly in addition to adults is necassary.

If they found herroine on that kid and locked up the parents I have to imagine alot of you would be on the other side of the "TSA works" arguement.

So we can drug-search everyone who boards a plane now, using the excuse of terrorism? Because I'm fairly certain you needed probable cause before the pig____ers flew planes into the WTC.

Not so much now, huh?
