Sorry for the double post. Just saw the Inside Look, I'm guessing that's where you saw the base and whatnot (but if you found it somewhere else, please do tell!). LOVED what it showed of the first diorama, what it said about the emergence of the Dinosauria line in tandem with the JP line, and that we got a glimpse of what appears will be the second piece - a Carnotaurus. Again, I'll be on board. I love Carnotaurus, it's such a bizarre but beautiful creature. Another thing that I liked about the Inside Look wasn't just that they had seasoned paleoartists on board, but that the paleoartists and the artisans of SS share the vision of giving the dinosaurs individual character, making them riddled with scars, bruises, abrasions, and even fractured bones! It's exactly how a dinosaur line should be done. This will be a line that, I'm safe in asserting, I will be in love with for a very long time. I'm sure it will be a financially costly affection, but I'll risk it.
One thing I was pondering would be the possibility that we won't see more than one version of a dinosaur from a given species portrayed; I'm just curious what the marketability of exclusives would be if they just repackage skulls from previous pieces to use as exclusives in other ones. Now if they change them to add fractures, different ornamentation, lost teeth, ossified areas where injuries were healing, etc., then it seems like they could be onto something and we could have more than one piece depicting one species. Just some thoughts as to what we can think of with this line in the long run.
